i get the feeling this post while mirror steven's a little.

okay here's a random insert before i dive into it. i saw loenent uploaded some t-ara video half an hour prior to starting to write and i got excited.. i was scared i'd end up procrastinating until modern family if i watched it.. but gave in anyway. turns out it wasn't t-ara but rather.. a "new" rookie group.. speed.. who as i assumed correctly.. turns out to be the other half of co-ed and five dolls' male counterpart. they've remade "lovey dovey".. i'll watch it properly later. i guess i'm not that keen on co-ed after they disappeared for so long x_x

Day 11. Name the kpop idol you admire the most and why

so anyway.. when faced with this question.. it really made me stop and think. who do i -admire-.. and i guess not in a way in which i gawk at female attractitude in the kpop world. but real admiration. i was going to answer with soshi's tiffany or fx's amber because at one stage they both inspired me for my own ambitions, you could guess why. but from a non-personal level, and just out of pure admiration.. i was actually leaning towards writing about yunho, coz i've been appreciating that guy's voice lately. but since steven has taken those reigns.. i feel there is someone else who is worth talking about for this question..

Choikang Changmin / MAX (TVXQ)

i usually talk about max as being my "second favourite" dbsk member (second to jaejoong of course).. and i forget why.. i guess he just appeals to me during perfs. that aside, my answer to this question will be much like the answer steven gave for yunho.. because they were both put in the same situation.

prior to the tragic breakup of the group, changmin was the youngest of the 5 (and if my cassiopeian brain still remembers..) i think he was younger than the others by liek 2 years. he's a similar maknae to seohyun in that sense.. but like seohyun , i've seen him as a kind, rather down-to-earth and shy person.. oh yeah and he has a collection of "special movies" LAWL HAHAHAHA. <- that is not why admire him omg hahaha. but i do remmeber being shocked at how young max was, and i used to remember everyone's ages by remembering how old max is at the time haha (by now he's like wow.. so old and mature)

that stuff aside.. i can't help but wonder how max took the whole thing. of course it doesn't seem in the nature of those 3 goofballs in JYJ to do something like sue.. but i wonder how happy max was with all of it. since he's always seemed like a rather humble person, i admire his strength for staying with SM.. i'm not sure how horrible their treatment was, but there's something in him.. something warm and light that made him want to stay.. a sense of family perhaps? he also had the strength to hold on to his roots while the others turned their back and left.

i'm not sure why.. but even though i tend to like JYJ music more.. i feel like i tend to side with TVXQ more. even though we know there was nothing hostile happening.. it just feels like.. max and yunho were the ones who were "left behind".. and i guess it's their performances that somehow look "lonely" as only 2.. even things liek rising sun..

but with the other 3 or not, they're still strong.. both of them.. looking to the world with pride. it's not the dbsk we knew, but it's the dbsk we get.. the dbsk was saw live for the first time.. and they still set the stage on fire as just them. with the other 3 gone, the weight has been put on yunho and max even harder. at one point recently i said i felt that jyj were the "essence" of dbsk, while the 2 who remained were the "power". without the other 3.. they have to carry themselves and their name strongly, and bring a lot more to the stage to make up for missing members. max has grown a lot talent-wise.. but of course his character was strong enough to hold through that whole issue, and still stand strong now.

*random edit* i suddenly remembered.. at some point, in my early cassie days.. i remember seeing a video of a random anti savagely hitting max over and over again. and to this day i say "why? changmin never gave anyone a reason to hate him.." i always think of that one scene when i think of dbsk antis.. good on him for enduring not just that, but any hate that comes his way. we cassies will always have his and their back anyway ^^

Day 21 - A song from your favourite album.

for this question.. i had to stop and think first what my favourite album first. usually it's a no-brainer.. but i've been listening to classic dbsk lately.. and i was considering using "crazy love" or "don't say goodbye" from their "mirotic" album. but instead.. despite liking the overall feel of the mirotic album, i'm going ahead with the album that i've given the most hype out of pre and post getting it:

Forever - SNSD (2nd Album: Oh! / Run Devil Run)

there were a lot of songs i already liked on this album before i got it (liking lots of tracks is usually my motive for getting albums) but this song along with "talk to me" i heard first on the album and fell in love with it from there. we don't get many ballady songs from soshi.. but when we do they're really nice. and i've linked you this concert perf coz it's better than the other one they did that one time. and yes, like dbsk, they have a "standing order" when they sing songs like this (the few times they do) with taeyeon in the middle and it spreads out from there.

there are a bunch of other techno-ish songs on the album that aren't that good.. or perhaps this song stands out more because it's a mellow song, which we don't get much at all from soshi.. but they do it really well. i dunno what else i can say here hahaha. the play count for this song on my ipod is really high though.. i think it was higher than gee and oh, or at least it was around the same (keep in mind that those songs' play counts reset when i got the album and replaced the tracks).

the lyrics are pretty deep too.. and i think at one stage in yr12, i found myself feeling rather melancholy.. and listening to this song over and over. just listen to it i guess. that's all i can say. just beautiful.

Day 22 - A song that has the best choreography.

now there are a lot of things i could've posted for this question.. coz a lot of dance routines are good hahaha. but nothing that particularly comes to mind. i do always rant and rave about how "A" is a good dance, not only for the shirt thing.. i always talk about how the whole thing is "girly in a good way". it's a good routine! but rainbow aside.. there was an answer for this question that has been tugging at me for me to write about.. so here goes nothing:

SOOM (Breath) - B2ST

crap.. i forgot mike song had input in choreographing this routine. that oughtta explain a thing or two hahaha.

and so b2st gets added to the mix of my answers. lemme talk about b2st for a while before i go on. for fun fact's sake, in the past week or so, without knowing, without realizing and without meaning to.. i have finally matched 6 names to faces.. chee wow. it happens hahahaha. at one stage in my life (even when soom was released) i was deliberately not liking beast because i didn't feel like.. i didn't want to.. and i hated how everyone suddenly became beast crazy. but that has dropped now (new rookies to bash on i guess LAWL) and although i always talk about dbsk and big bang as the 2 guy groups i support.. when thinking about it more, i probably support b2st more than m/any of the others. so there i like beast. hahaha.

now "soom", next to "fiction" i consider my favourite b2st song (does it annoy you that i keep switching between names? bleh i shuffle tvxq/dbsk snsd/soshi all the time anyway). "shock" may be superior to "soom" as a dance.. but i've always liked this dance for some reason.. even right off the bat when i first saw the mv.. even in my "refuse to like beast" mindset. and i've linked the mv isntead of the rehearsal coz the rehearsal does a lot of random camera stuff.. and i just really like the feel of the mv overall (especially the very end of the dance.. that's awesome haha) the routine is definitely unique, and it fits in well with the mv.

until i watched the rehearsal again about 10 minutes ago.. i had forgotten that mike song was part of this. respect. hahaha. btu that does explain the rather funky choreography. the unique feel of the dance and the awesomness of the song mesh well together. me gusta.

final note.. i tend to think about "A" and "soom" together acutally.. coz i posted them together way back when.. i actually dug that old blog up to see what i said about both. i wouldn't say "soom" has the BEST choreography (i don't wanna sit here and judge what does) but it tugged at me enough for whatever reason for me to want to put it down here.

Name the kpop idol you admire the most and why

Hmm today's question all require some thinking. Well when i first saw teh question, i thought i should pick an Idol, taht i know, has overcame hardship of some sort and is still standing strong. When i though like that a particular idol came to mind. He is Jung Yunho. You know Yunho?
Anyway, i'm sure many people knew of the controversy and the big court case between JYJ and SM entertainment leading to TVXQ's hiatus for a brief period of time as the moment when they were at the top of the K-pop world. I would not delve into that but form Yunho as well as Max to come back as a duo still leading the name of TVXQ, in my opinion was very courageous of them. They must have had their doubts about their popularity as well as the fans that waited for them. They had to perform as well as exceed expectations. I really admire Yunho's courage to lead TVXQ again as a duo and to still keep their name alive and performing at their best. Though i still would hope that one day DB5K will perform together again. Always Keep the Faith :D

A song from your favourite album.

Another Difficult question. I never really look at albums but more so at the individual songs. Also i don't download(buy) a lot of albums so my knowledge of artists and the songs in their specific albums is not very comprehensive. I am really keen on picking DBSK's "The Secret Code" but that is a japanese album so i can't. Hmm looking at what's on my computer atm, i would pick SNSD's "Into the New World" as my favourite album since basically all the songs on their i have listened to and basically liked. And a song from the album will be:

Beast - Shock

mm this question made me think for quite a while. I like a lot of routines and to pick the best choreography is pretty hard. I had a good few before i narrowed it down to my selection of Beast's Shock. It included Infinite's Be Mine, U-kiss's Neverland etc. but in teh end i chose Shock because i felt, in my opinion, all the moves were very strong and there was no real dull moment in the routine.

Honestly i don't know much maknaes but even if i did i would still have ended up choosing you. alright let's get this party started. i have been EXTREMELY pumped for this post since yesterday, pumped for the first song question after figuring out which song fits me perfectly (on my second try at looking up lyrics haha).. and this morning i suddenly felt a surge of rainbow energy after finding out i turned off the tv RIGHT BEFORE RAINBOW PLAYED ON SBS POPASIA!!! ffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuu i have been waiting and waiting for them to come on the show and i turn off the tv when they finally do x_x

well spoilers ahead, you already know my second song today will be from rainbow. but that shouldn't be a surprise when you read the question.. so that said, i'm gonna start today out by writing the song answers first coz i feel the fire for them, and besides.. it'll take forever to write a letter to my favourite maknae (cheh.. we all know who THAT is already hahaha).

i want you to know.. that i really look up to you and admire you. since i first started to really get hooked onto soshi back in 2009, you have always caught my eye. i hope you don't mind me saying this, but you really are beautiful.. both on the outside and the inside. and you're such a talented person, you play the piano beautifully.. your dancing is perfect and your voice is amazing.. i think it's fitting that your company often entrusts centre stage to you, despite being the youngest member of 9.

out of all the girls in your group though, i've always really wanted to meet you.. i know that you were born in 1991.. myself i was born in 1992.. we're almost the same age. i thought that we would be able to relate to each other. it's amazing.. no wait.. excuse me.. Day 19 - A song that describes you.

so.. when faced with this question, even though it seems pretty straight forward.. i couldn't think of any particular lyrics that really describe me. of course there are always lyrics that one can relate to, but how many actually DESCRIBE you? i was close to posting a song that describes my taste in kpop.. but from what songs i choose to post here, one can already read what into what kind of music i like. that said, after some minimal research.. i did in fact find a song that actually does describe me..

Stupid Liar - Big Bang

instead of embedding a live version, i just give you this straight audio with lyrics version (i'm afraid big bang's stage presence might distract from the point) though that said.. somehow i think it's awesome and really like it performed live.

understand this.. unlike how what other kpoppers might do and look up the meanings behind these songs.. i actually tend not to for some reason unless i want to sing the song myself.. instead i tend to get caught up in the overall feel of the song, and i play music to suit my mood should i feel the need. so naturally things got complicated when i didn't know any song lyrics to match me.

at first, i looked up "fiction" by b2st tbh.. i love that song, and i could only assume i could relate to the lyrics. maybe to some extent.. and moreso a few years ago than now.. so i crossed it off the list. (that said, being the idiot that i am.. i only understood the pen scratching in that song now after reading the translation).

so somehow i remembered this song.. i think coz i felt liek repping this song throughout the challenge and on roadtrip for some reason.. something always drew me in about this song, and somehow i saw and heard something in it that the other guys don't see (maybe it's just my own musical taste) but that aside.. the lyrics fit. a while ago i wanted to rewrite this song in english (coz i like it that much) with myself in the steed of the "stupid liar".. but after looking up the lyrics, the "stupid liar" turns out to be the girl in question.. relating back to the "feel of music" thing.. this song i always tended to attach to the same recurring and lingering thought of a certain part of my life.

i need not explain anything.. because the song basically sums up my thoughts on a particular matter long ago.. something that up until now, i still have not let go of.. something i just can't for some reason.. and i guess i just feel helpless because of that. even though it feels bad to point fingers.. the song essentially does.. but i guess.. at times.. that's how i feel. the lyrics pretty much encapsulate my personal issues and struggles that i've gone through over the past.. something something.

Day 20 - A song that you are proud to share.

onto the next question! i tried to be dense with the previous question.. but i rambled a lot of backstory for some reason haha. just reading the lyrics and listening tot he song would suffice. that said.. it's about damn time i brought rainbow into all this.. i go on about them enough.. and the song i choose to "share" is my current favourite obsession/addiction from them:

Sweet Dream - Rainbow

i dunno.. maybe the reason why i'm so keen on "sharing" rainbow.. is because noone really does anyway o_O they're an underdog group whos music i love (i gotta say.. perhaps in this group i love the music more than the members, and i think that would be a good thing? or maybe that's how it should be haha). since i got hooked on "A" way back when.. i've been keen to support rainbow, and they haven't disappointed since. for a lot of last year i was spazzing over "to me" but eventually switched to this song coz it's just the better listen methinks.

without hesitation, this song was added to my "awesome" playlist, a playlist actually which no SM artist has touched (if JYJ don't count).. but all in all.. i think that playlist is "fresh" from my usual SM antics. rainbow's sound is definitely fresh i would think.. and their music.. especially this song really appeals to me. it's got nifty bass and beat, but an uplifting feel of elegance to it (especially if you watch them dance too) but the two aspects tend to mesh well.. i tend to like songs like that. woori's raps also, unlike other girl groups, don't feel forced too which is good. i also think the girls as a group are very charismatic dancers.

i don't hesitate to share songs like this, because most people i know know like nothing about rainbow.. but imo they're damn awesome (perhaps even to rival kara, who are meant to be their seniors). and perhaps this song in particular is like.. the dominant female song right now that fits "my taste" (yknow.. beats & piano riffs and stuff). that aside.. their music and dancing tends to be awesome anyway. so why not share, right? i don't care.. rainbow are awesome for me hahaha. we just need to sit and watch how much more awesome they can grow from here.. coz they haven't grown as much as their rivalling 2009 girl groups (well they haven't released as much anyway..)

Name your least favorite kpop group/artist and why

2NE1. There is really many simple reasons (personal reasons) as to why i don't like them as a group.
1. They pursue a genre and concept which i personally do not like from a girl group constantly
2. Fashion is....
3. Most of their songs/mvs are "gangstery" rap types
4.Did i mention i don't like their concept?

A song that makes you feel relaxed

Big Bang - Haru Haru

Not really sure how to answer this. Usually ballad songs from groups makes me pretty relaxed dbsk especially. But most of the ballads are japanese and people aka a person complains that it needs to be korean i have picked Haru Haru. Not a ballad but whenever i listen to it i guess i just get drawn into the song does in someway makes me feel relaxed.

A song that is a guilty pleasure
Not sure what this question is asking for. What is a guilty pleasure. well according to good old wikipedia, A guilty pleasure is something one enjoys and considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it. Well unlike phil... i dont say i hate groups and then listen to their songs...derp... so i really don't feel guilt when i listen to songs. Ok i'll answer it with something closest to "guilt"

JYJ - Get Out
I guess thsi would be it because listening to jyj i think of what dbsk use to be and what they are now. No doubt Max and Yunho as a duo is still very good but i still feel they are lacking something which comes in teh form of JYJ. And honestly i feel like i enjoy jyj's music more than DBSK as it is now. So that i guess is kind of feeling guilty.

Day 9. Name your least favorite kpop group/artist and why

what a waste of a question.. why do they even bother putting negative stuff in there. that and all of a sudden i'm in a bad mood now. so i guess, in a way.. perfect. there's one team that comes straight to mind when i read this question

i just always hated them right from debut. they think they're mad with their extreme youth, skipping through the industry like they're mad. at their age, the kings who i respect were still training. these guys just wasted their youth, and make the rest of us feel like we're wasting ours.

if it weren't for popasia making me sit through their mvs.. i would never dare to even bother checking out anything from them, even if made to by someone. i would always refuse right off the bat. please oh please.. never come to sydney.

Day 17 - A song that makes you feel relaxed.

it's hard to feel relaxed when i'm in a bad mood.. that said, i figured out my answer/s for this prior to anyway. for the length of time that i have been posting, one song immediately came to mind for this question, and that would of course be "talk to me" by jessica and tiffany, another of my all-time favourite soshi songs, and i think has a higher play count than "day by day" on my ipod. but purely for the sake of not posting that song on da crep again (i've posted it like 2 or 3 times before.. same perf) and to put some variety into the mix instead of just soshi.. i'm going to answer with my runner up song:

Butterfly - G-Dragon

try listen to that and NOT feel relaxed and chill. another song i thought of while listening to "butterfly" was "beautiful life" by dbsk.. but this one is more relaxing i would think.

i dunno what else to say, it's pretty straightforward.. this song makes me feel relaxed.. it's just the style of music, the chorus has long stretch notes that just carry you, and then bouncy stuff that makes you feel really light. of course the whole mv (which i wouldn't even bother watching.. the song is what wins you) feels very light and airy as well.

i once fell asleep to this song without meaning to.. so it was playing all night, and of course when i woke up it's playcount jacked up to the hundreds.. shows you how relaxing it is haha. i woke up immune to the song that day, it was weird.. it was like i wasn't used to the song at all despite listening to it all night. oh well.. good song.

Day 18 - A song that is a guilty pleasure.

when faced with this question.. "guilty pleasure" had me going o_O because i never would think i have a "guilty pleasure" even outside of music.. i'm always pretty open with things that i do haha. things like playing pokemon i never hesitate to say. but when it comes to kpop.. one would think that i would put something like "A" into this answer.. but for one thing, it's asking for song, not for dance/mv.. and for anotehr thing, i legitimately like rainbow and other girl groups.. i don't really feel that sense of "cheating" despite always talking about it.. i mean what kind of brainwashed person would i be if i only ever listened to SMtown x_x instead i post this song as my "guilty pleasure" and it will make sense as to why:

Paradise - Infinite

might offend some potential inspirits out there, but the truth is the truth. besides, it's not them, it's me. i'm always ranting and raving about how i don't care about new groups (i wouldn't say hate.. except maybe for teen top ahurr hurr) but i would never bother to make myself appreciate new groups unless i chose to, so naturally when people would rant and rave about people like infinite and shove them in my face.. i'd be like bleh >.>

but at one stage, i was forced to listen to/watch this song because we were gonna dance to it apparently, and i will just say that i really liked it (NOT GONNA SAY LOVE! that is a powerful word and might be misplaced) but it sounds so different.. some of the stuff that i've heard from infinite really sounds distinct from other kpop songs. "paradise" is the one and only infinite song i have, and i like it.. enough to trump "tonight" (big bang) in play count apparently x_x

i'm not sure where the "guilt" comes into play.. probably because i always go on about how i don't like new groups.. especially when new groups start to rise in popularity to compete with existing groups.. i just get weirded out by it all. yeah infinite aren't really new anymore, but i count anyone "new" who debuted after i ended hardcore mode in kpop. and soshi like them out of the rookies apparently.. so of course i'm not supposed to like them.. and they dance extremely superior to us and other kpop artists, so why would i like them -.- yet despite that.. the "pleasure" is still evident.. as i often find myself listening to this song on purpose.. on my own accord..

ps. this is the first time i watched the mv for it.. and knowing how the dance goes.. it's weird to see the mv like that.. so un-dancey. i duno if it fits the whole "standing around singing" motif.

since the first question has me stoked.. i'm gonna go ahead and answer the 2 song questions first. but of course you won't be able to tell the difference coz i'll still lay out the whole blog like normal. har.

Day 8. Name your favorite kpop dancer

when faced with this question, two names immediately came to mind: taeyang of big bang and u-know of dbsk. of course i could only pick one of them. ironically i was watching some miss A earlier today, as a group they are definitely ace dancers.. and i also happened to watch yet ANOTHER exo teaser with kai.. that guy is insane i swear. but no i'm not familiar enough with kai to call him my favourite dancer. eventually though, i reached a consensus and decided on one favourite dancer throughout kpop:

SOL Taeyang (Big Bang)

so many names.. i'm pretty sure his name is youngbae or something.. but it's not taeyang haha. the video i linked you is "where u at", the obvious choice for showcasing his dancing ability. it's still awesome when i watch it now, i also watched "i'll be there" and "i need a girl" before watching this one, different styles but still shows you how well we can adapt. (almost forgot about "i need a girl" altogether too)

anyway.. the reason why i chose taeyang over yunho, is because despite the fact that yunho is an amazing dancer when he does solos or even just backing up the other members.. (like no joke, he is always a damn serious dancer) taeyang is the one who obviously has had an impact on my own dancing style and choreography.

even his solo work aside, just watching big bang performances (even dating back to ages ago.. the "lies" days for instance when i was born into big bang) taeyang always emits an energy that the other 4 don't through his dance and general swagger of performing. he tends to have a slick and smooth style of moving while singing/performing.. it's just built into him.. everything he does is like dancing, and it always looks awesome.

of course go watch group perfs (even rehearsals) of things like "tonight" and "somebody to love" and you'll see taeyang is getting more and more spotlight compared to the old days, coz he seems to be leading both singing and dancing nowadays (actually that's like soyeon in t-ara lately too..) but he does seem like the logical choice to do so. watch big bang performances and see that his flavour of dancing comes out even when it's not his time to take centre stage or whatever. that sense of personal style in everything he does, THAT is what has impacted me in a way that i want to bring about energy in everything i do too.

Day 15 - A song that brightens your mood.

when it comes to songs that brighten my mood, there are a lot of songs that i would be happy to listen to that are "bright" at like any time.. or any songs at all that i would like to listen to if i was in a down mood.. even some "bright" songs that i would enjoy despite being in a down mood. however.. the first song that came to my head when reading this question is a song that can actually lift my mood, it literally can brighten my mood.

No Other - Super Junior

undoubtedly my favourite super junior song, and possibly the best thing they've released over the past 3 years (definitely feels different.. it doesn't feel like a complete studio mv at the very least). but despite being performed by a bunch of guys, it still makes me feel upbeat.. i think it's because of the theme in the song (which is well presented in the mv) and the general upbeat and good-feel melody etc.

i always went on about how if i were to have an ELF girlfriend.. i would do everything in this mv for her, and with valentines day coming up, it just seems fitting to bring this mv back to the world.

i dunno what much there is still to explain, it brightens my mood.. that's all i can say.. and i dunno why, maybe because it captures.. that.. feeling. that feeling when there's only one person who you need.. that one person who is unlike any other, an extremely special person who makes you feel upbeat and toasty and such. that one person who brightens your mood as well, and this song being sang from a guy's perspective i guess makes it more relatable.

Day 16 - A song that destroys your mood.

it was challenging at first to think of a song that "destroys" my mood. but i guess i had to think of what "destroy" could possibly mean. it doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.. if anything it could just prove the sheer power of the song. and in terms of songs, i could think of one song, that regardless of the situation, if i listen to it.. i can't help but feel melancholy..

Insa (Farewell) - Hero Jaejoong (DBSK)

yep.. completely destroyed.. even after watching "no other". i didn't link you a live version.. instead i've given you just this audio version.. so you can sit and purely listen to the music, and be enveloped in the mellow nature of the song, the bittersweet lullaby in his voice, and the general melancholy feel of it all.

it's a beautiful song, for sure. when i learned it in 2010, i learned to play and sing the full dbsk version (as 5) because it was slightly less melancholy than this one, i don't think i have the capability to do it like jaejoong with this one.

but this song.. even if i was sitting on a bus, or just lying in my bed.. whatever.. just those first few chords.. you can just imagine that if this were used in a movie, things would seem/feel like they slow down around the protagonist, and voices in the background would fade and echo blankly.. i mean it's melancholy.. it's so melancholy.. but it's beautiful. it destroys my mood because it has the power to always bring me to a down feeling, at least for the duration of the song. but it's beautiful because of that. you try listen to it without crying.

ok.. my apologies in advance.. my mind has turned to mush right now.. because it's almost 2am and i am madly sleep deprived from roadtrip.. and i have been madly ranting and raving about the kpop cover dance fest and not entering it and what are we gonna do next for the past like 3 hours..

Day 7. Name your favorite kpop music video

i need to calm down.. and looking at this question goes hand in hand.. coz as a remedy for both i could only think of one MV.. now please excuse me while i immerse myself in it to calm me down.

SEOUL - SNSD & Super Junior

yeah.. that definitely calmed me down, and i successfully got immersed into that mv. i remember when i discovered that mv, something like 2 years ago, another late night like this.. when i was just beginning to fall into both soshi and suju.. and i fell in love with this song and mv instantly, and it jacked up a million points for both groups for me.

i could've easily said "o jung ban hup", "haru haru" or "ttl" and go on about those in the past like i have.. but today i feel like talking about this mv, another mv that evokes a totally different feel.. this photographic masterpiece that you can't help but walk away with a good feeling in yourself after watching it.

as a tourist video, it successfully works as it gives some nice picturesque shots of seoul, but as a music video it successfully captures the lives and//or stories if you will of a whole bunch of people. what can i say man? it's just made really well.. the song is beautiful (the people are beautiful.. derp hahaha) and everything about it without me getting into nitty gritty just makes you feel warm and toasty inside.

Day 13 - A song from a group you are starting to like.

now for this question.. for a while i was tossing up between two groups who really took my notice during the kpop concert, sistar and mblaq. had i answered with sistar, i would've linked "how dare you" and mentioned how i watched "ma boy" deliberately to start getting used to them for the concert (then popasia shoved them in our face anyway and i legit liked their stuff). as for mblaq.. i would've linked "stay" and talked about despite looking up their 2011 stuff late, i'm really liking it, and their perf was awesome in november.

all that aside, it hit me today.. that the logical choice for this question is actually neither of these groups.. because there is a group that as of late, i have clearly really started to take a liking to.. and realizing now, it's actually a no-brainer of a question.

Shampoo - After School

after school! as well as their sub-units AS blue, red and orange caramel.. i approve of all. besides t-ara and rainbow, they're the only other girls on my "awesome" playlist. and believe it or not i've actually been acquainted with after school since about midway through 2009, when masa released his first mid-year mix. i went back and looked up after school's 2 mvs featured in it, because they seemed catchy from that mix (and i was right). that said, i don't think i've heard/seen them since, but after that i always acknowledged after school as a fair dinkum group.

"shampoo" is hands down just a damn awesome song, and it's brilliant performed live. pretty balanced in terms of lines.. and it's composed well, raps fit in nicely.. melody is awesome. blah blah musical jargon, it just sounds really good XD

robert had been egging me on since food camp or something to go check out "shampoo" by after school.. but despite being on my to-do list, i never got around to doing it.. not until popasia shoved the mv in my face on tv and it was instant love. and i'm pretty sure the "after school special" in which after school joined the show was an earlier episode.. which showcased the different sub-units of after school.. for which raina took my notice in blue, and nana caught my attention in red.. the both of which happen to be in orange caramel.. and the songs that all sub-units flush out are good songs x.x

so since then, my after school mood has been slowly building, especially as i delved back into an old favourite of mine, "because of you" which i'm sure everyone already knows how much i love. with perf after perf, after school are growing on me, and i even wanna go back and hunt down their old mvs again. if i'm not careful i'll end up with another favourite girl group on my plate hahaha.

Day 14 - Your recently played song.

so for this question.. instead of just chucking in another t-ara song like "lovey dovey" in there.. i'm going by a song that lately i've been deliberately listening to for some reason.. even when on roadtrip (yeah i didn't listen to much t-ara at all) but i guess we were tryna keep it manly. so all for the dude music!

Mona Lisa - MBLAQ

this song hit me late too hahaha. it's been in my head randomly ever since it played on popasia the other week.. this song even had me looking it up to listen to on youtube coz i had not downloaded it.. its weird that amidst my million t-ara/afterschool videos open, there would be a random mblaq tab just for listening to this song. the chorus is really great.. and the "ooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOH" part even had me singing along with it at the concert, despite never hearing the song at all prior to that event.

along with "stay", mblaq are winning back my attention, having only previously paid attention back in the "Y" days.. these 2 songs conquer both "Y" and "oh yeah" i would think. i do love "stay" more i think, but like i said, this song has had power over me lately for some reason. it was among the random.. 6 or something songs i downloaded on monday before we left for roadtrip (the others being "sweet dream" (inst) and "you & i" by rainbow, "shady girl" by sistar and "fiction" (orch ver) and "i like you the best" by b2st)) coz clearly.. i needed it for when i would not be at home hahaha. so it's definitely a recent download, and i already explained how i've been recently playing it deliberately.

other than that i've been shuffling a lot, but i always do that.. and the other song i've been spamming is "lovey dovey" by t-ara.. but i've already posted that. so there.. MBLAQ have made my list!

i'm gonna skip ahead today and write my answers to the two song questions first, coz i know that it'll take much more time and effort to cover today's first question than the other two. that said, i have my answers sorted already.. it took me a while to get here, i got sidetracked.. i just drastically increased the amount of photos of pretty girls in the "kpop" folder of my 2012 pictures folder. why? because i was looking for a photo of taeyeon to use for today's post and just kept going on from there, bias after bias hahahaha.

damn it.. how did i end up with a million more photos of seohyun than taeyeon x_x haha..

Day 6. Write a letter to your bias

so.. to hype myself up for this question.. i rewatched my fancams from the concert.. crikey we were nuts x_x but it's different.. it's different to just watching fancams on the internet.. coz they're just not fancams.. they're my own memories. i figured this was the best place to start since it was that day that made me fall in love with taeyeon permanently and crowned her as my top bias forever.

little fun fact, since that day, "kissing you" has become my third-most played soshi song under "talk to me" and "day by day". (these results are kinda illegit, since i replaced the old files of their major songs when i got my run devil run album, but "day by day" still managed to claim second place without its original file boost).

Letter to Kim Taeyeon (SNSD)...

now.. where should i start..

dear taeyeon,

you may not know who i am at all, and in truth, i probably know almost nothing about you compared to a lot of other SONEs.. but i just want you to understand.. that though i may not be the most avid SONE out there, i still love you just the same..

the truth is.. when i was in high school.. after dancing on stage time after time, i realized how much i love performing, and for the first time in my life, i felt like i really had a dream.. i wanted to one day stand on the same stage as you, as an amazing performer. the days when i really fell in love with soshi coincided with that dream, and you and your team were my main inspiration.. you are all very amazing, and always looked up to you.

sadly.. my resolve was never enough.. i couldn't put in the much needed effort i needed to reach where you are, because my mind was and is always lost and confused.. i never know what i really want.. it's amazing that you managed to stick to your goal and earned much more success than you probably originally imagined.. i wish i had your strength and dedication =/ in the end, i lost sight of my dream, because i thought i wasn't good enough, or i thought at least not for my age.. and i ended up just fading into "normal" life.

taeyeon, you may not know this.. but we have "met" in real life.. i stood amongst hundreds of other SONEs at sydney airport when you arrived on the morning of your first performance here in sydney in 2011.. until that moment; until that day, i never realized how much i loved you all, how important soshi are to my life. people might think it's stupid.. a grown guy like me obsessing over a bunch of girls who i don't even know.. but in truth.. i've always been attached to my youth.. always.. and my dream, has always been intertwined with the inspiration you and the other girls have given me.

something sparked in me that day.. i realized that i didn't want that to be my first and only meeting with you.. i wanted to see you agian, i wanted to meet you in person, to talk to you face to face.. i wanted to be able to stand side by side with the girl who inspired me. i suddenly became angry with myself, and since then have been obsessed with becoming a "somebody". while others i know are working hard towards their goals.. my goal.. hollywood.. is a lot further away and more difficult to reach. but i will never give up and i will somehow get there.

but i don't want it to end there.. i chose that path over chasing after my dream and being with you, i want to unite the two paths that i separated.. i want to be able to somehow, use my standings to reach you.. i want you to sing soundtrack songs for movies i want to make.. it feels like that is the best way for us to meet, at least in a way in which we could almost be equals =/

but you will always be above me.. your dedication and resolve has already proven that.. at my age now, you were already very successful.. you have been working hard through years of your youth, and are reaping the benefits.. meanwhile i am killing myself for not being devoted enough at a young age. i am so happy being "normal" even though i know.. that "normal" is not what i want.. sticking to my dream and eventually reaching it.. when that happens i will finally feel like a "somebody", i will finally feel content enough with myself.. that i didn't waste chances sitting around being normal.. that i made something of myself. i can't forgive myself for not being dedicated enough to my dream.. x_x but i'm proud of you for doing so..

Day 11 - A song from your favourite group that has had a comeback this year.

for me, the answer to this question was a no brainer.. coz i was just thinking.. was there any other group making some form of comeback that i gave any sort of damn about? i thought it was no contest.. then i remembered rainbow pixie released "hoi hoi" this year.. but unfortunately.. it didn't hype me up nearly as much as this group.. who have claimed my life as their property since i returned from my holiday:

Lovey Dovey - T-ara

the perf i linked you isn't their comeback stage, in fact it was pretty recent.. i watched and liked it yesterday, my most recent liked video haha. although jiyeon is absent in this one, i do rather like this perf.. have a look for yourself! ^^

i remember i had a large to-do list, or to-watch list, of things i missed out on while i was on holiday, and thanks to jack, i was reminded of this mv's existence. as a continuation of "cry cry" i had high hopes, but of course i needed to set aside like 20 minutes of my life hahaha. actually i gave this comeback a whole post of its own, and i posted the 3 mvs.. dedication. that shows you how much and how quickly i got hooked onto this song, and the girls shuffling cutely haha.

all in all, t-ara have proved themselves as my 2012 dominant group so far, as i have said before.. they have donimated my life since i got back.. with their recent releases, and i tend to only/mostly listen to their music nowadays. t-ara, as much as i loved them already since ages ago, are climbing further and further up my list, i'd say even giving the rainbow the boot, and might currently be my #2 group out of the girls. their recent releases have just been win, so fittingly, my favourite comeback is theirs.

Day 12 - A song that you used to love but now hate.

hmm.. when asked about something i used to love but now hate.. i had to think.. coz it was difficult.. x_x it's easy to name things i used to hate but now love, hell i used to hate t-ara and shinee.. look where taht got me hahaha. but when it comes down to it.. if we're going by artists.. there's only one group for me that i would think, to ever drop off my bias list..

Nobody - Wonder Girls

i could've just as easily said "tell me", and i was about to.. because i did actually used to love that song, i don't think i've ever really liked "nobody".. but when i stopped and thought this morning about it (yeah i was acutlally awake in the morning for once) i realized.. once upon a time, i loved this song/dance/group enough.. that during multicultural day 2009 preparations, i got up on stage and danced along with wondergen as they did it.. at the time they also performed "genie" by snsd, "chocolate love" by fx and "sorry sorry" by super junior. not wait just a damn minute.. i bypassed all these sm groups, all these songs that at the time i only heard a few times in my life, and i instead chose to dance to wonder girls? things have really changed since back then..

"nobody" started getting on my nerves when it started spreading everywhere, to the point of gimmick. it was the first overused song i witnessed on filo tv (to be followed by "sorry sorry" by suju and "fire" by 2ne1 eventually.. i think they even used "hot issue" by 4minute at some point) but you get the point.. it was used all over the itnernet with disturbing cover videos and such.. all this hype, and yet for me.. it wasn't even a great song.. i didn't see what all the hype was about.. and it was used for their american debut, which i didn't quite understand either. its overuse and millions of praise drove me to kinda cringe every time i heard it, coz i dont even like it but it became like the pinnacle of kpop for a while.

i do still quite like "irony" by wonder girls though, that has always been my favourite song from them.. but nowadays.. i've completely dropped out of my previous wonderful state.. with the wonder girls more active than ever right now, and soshi's original rivals returning.. nothing.. i don't feel anything. i watch the odd link someone gives me but don't feel the energy i used to. even "be my baby".. i just kinda looked at it, and kinda wowed at how i used to love them so much, and now i just.. don't.

it might upset some people out there.. but for me.. when the wonder girls disappeared from the korean stage, they disappeared from my life too.. and i just don't feel it anymore o_o

A song from your favourite group that has had a comeback this year.

T-ara has always been a group that i knew but never really delved into. But lately with their comeback and their new songs i have really taken a liking into them. Especially this recent song that came out around November last year. For some reason, it reminds of a song from a long time a go in my childhood but i can't really put my hand on it. But nevertheless, this song is definitely worth checking out and also the MV as well.

T-ara - Cry Cry

A song that you used to love but now hate.
Ahh this question is so difficult. It would be much easier if it was "a song you used to hate but now love". Personally once i like a song, it rarely or never turns out to be hated, maybe just liked less. If i had to choose one i would pick this song.

Super Junior - Bonamana

I guess for this song, when it first came out i liked it quite a bit. But maybe because i hear it everywhere for a while i kinda found it to be quite annoying. XD its pretty spammy in terms of the music. Nowadays, Super Junior songs are made for teh sole purpose of being a "hook" song (i.e. with very catch and repetitive chorus etc.) and i'm getting tired of it. They don't make it like they sue to anymore. Though Mr. Simple i found to be quite alright.

Write a letter to your bias

Dear SNSD's Jessica Jung,

Hey Jessica, I am writing this letter to you because i am doing a k-pop challenge where i have to "Write a letter to my bias" and you are definitely my bias in the K-pop world. I was introduced to SNSD about 2-3 years ago and ever since then i have always been a Sone. My first MV was "Gee" and since that video i have always had a particular interest in you and was the first to catch my eye out of the other members.

Ever since i became a Sone, i had watched and read many things regarding Girls' Generation just to get to know you and your group better. I had watched shows such as Horror Factory, Hello Baby, Star King etc. And watching those shows allowed me to find out more about the members and also about you. Such as the funny fact that you totally hate cucumbers :D I have also watched you and your groups progress throughout the years and how you are becoming more and more popular in the world and this year even debuting in the United States. I am really glad to see your hard work being paid off and also receiving much more attention.

I think that i really became more devoted as a Sone since last year when a K-pop Music Fest was held in Sydney for the very first time. I was at the airport as well as the actual concert and seeing you and the rest of SNSD really made me happy and also seeing other K-pop groups i like as well. I really hope that SM artists as well as other k-pop groups to also put Australia on their list and perform and hold more events here often as i know it will be big.

I would really like to know you more as an individual and also the rest of the members as well. SNSD is a group that i believe to be very close and also honest with everyone and i really admire that. So in closing, i would like to wish SNSD great success in the future, becoming a worldwide phenomenon and forever be in everyone's heart. And to you, i hope you live a wonderful and happy life and achieve many great things with those you love.

Day 5. Name your bias

well.. at this stage.. this question is actually a no-brainer, and the answer could actually be only a single word. BUT i am phil, so i shall rant and rave about this all i want haha. so if you wish to skip, please scroll down to the blue text for the next question. this could've been anyone, i have a lot of favourites across all groups, dudes and girls alike.. but there's only one person who i've ever felt is my one true favourite kpop performer.

in the meantime.. apologies to both steven and pretty jessica, you both have to get kicked out of the dacrep spotlight because you posted first and i posted second, it is time to make way for my one and only..

Kim Taeyeon (SNSD)

the leader and main vocalist of me and steven's shared bias group, SoNyeo ShiDae. until the kpop concert in november, i actually didn't have a solid bias.. i was always tossing between taeyeon and maknae, seohyun.. both shared my equal love (it's not surprising.. i tend to have many biases haha.. many favourites across a lot of groups, i shan't bother listing them..) but even within snsd i switched biases a few times in the early days before settling on these 2 in my official sone days (that said, i did answer my last kpop challenge with taeyeon as my female bias back then too). it wasn't until i saw them all in real life, that i realized that taeyeon was the one.. taeyeon was my bias.. with her brimming loving energy towards us aussie sones, she clearly appreciated us being there as much as we appreciated her being there, and i love her for the enthusiasm she showed us that day. (plus.. she's like.. ultra beautiful IRL haha.. go find that old post of mine)

ultimately.. taeyeon just shines.. she has it all for me.. she of course is without a doubt an amazing vocalist (scroll down to my "merry christmas from soshi" post and cry), she is also a very attractive dancer.. which is more noticable lately coz she's gotten a lot of spotlight lately with their japanese releases of "mr taxi" and "bad girl". to boot, taeyeon brings a lot of life to the stage, and really knows how to perform; always adapting awesomely to any concept or theme thrown at her, fitting virtually any image. off-stage however, she has just as much character, if not more..

she is so much fun, incredibly entertaining and immensely adorable. it's just in her nature, what she does, how she talks, acts and behaves.. it's just naturally awesome and cute (go check like any post on da crep hahaha) but of course.. she is the eldest of a big group of 9, the leader.. responsible, reliable.. she can handle it. i don't know personally how easy or difficult it's been for the girls since their training days, but they're a strong group, and taeyeon has to and is stronger.. to hold them all together. taeyeon is awesome.. it's actually too bad she's the most popular girl in asia (last i checked JYJ were top 3, then yunho, then taeyeon in popularity) it means i have to share her with the world.. haha. but taeyeon gives us a lot of reasons to love her.

Day 09 - A song with an addicting chorus.

ahah.. this question. well.. i coudl've said a lot of things.. a lot of songs have catchy, even addictive choruses. but the one that came to mind, for some reason for me feels like the "theme song of 2011" it's just so upbeat.. and it just feels like an ultimate party/wrap-up song.. my answer to this question is:

Step - KARA

seungyeon, nicole, hara, gyuri and jiyoung; the girls of kara have entered my list of awesome with my apparent anthem for 2011 kpop. when i saw the teasers for this song.. i had high hopes.. it looked and sounded good just from the teasers.. kara had been gone for a while, after promoting heaps in japan (kara of course are one of my more biased groups) and this song felt like it was going to trump mister, jumping, even lupin.. and i think it did ^^

with the upbeat melody, fun dance and awesome rap break, it felt like the ultimate comeback song, to just spread good vibes everywhere, and it really did kara well (but kinda screwed u-kiss over.. ahah) that said.. the point of this question was the addictive CHORUS! i dunno why.. just the flow of the notes really gets to me, and of course their most catchiest ever use of "lalalalala", and they've done that a lot hahaha. enjoy kara everyone!

and to think.. i was about to talk about how i haven't looked exo up and i didn't want to force myself to look them up just for this question, but come on.. they haven't even performed or released anything yet x_x this is really the only song i could answer with, or the chinese one.. but i slightly like this one more anyway. are EXO my favourite debut so far? well this song still somehow appealed to me more than "warrior" did, EXO in general appealed to me more than BAP, SMtown aside.

that said, i've been very keen for getting into EXO since they started releasing teasers when i was overseas.. i've never actually properly witnessed an SM group debut.. i missed both SHINee and f(x) despite being around for them. well.. i have high hopes for EXO, coz a million teasers should mean that they are something worth waiting for.. SM are putting all their energy into this new rookie group x_x it'll definitely be a good start for them.. let's hope they can follow through and live up to the standard set up by their predecessors. EXO, go kill it!

ps. i just found out that kai and apparently other guys are in that old video of dbsk dancing "hahaha" randomly after raiding a studio. i actually recognized kai.. that's how much SM shove him in my face x_x

Mm no brainer. As everyone who knows me would probably know this already. My bias is of course SNSD's Jessica.

I remember when phil showed me the Gee MV a few years back and asked me to pick a favorite and i believe at that time i had picked Jessica. Again later on, he showed me the Oh MV and asked me to pick again and i replied with the "No. 22" and of course that was jessica too. Consistency ftw. Anyway since then i have learnt more about them and indeed jessica had been my bias throughout. :D Picture spamming time :D

Day 4. Describe your favorite video of your favorite girl band

ahah.. so onto another favourite mv. this one had me scrolling through the soshi playlist on the smtown page, just like i scrolled through the big bang videos yesterday. and in the end, my answer has not really changed since the last kpop challenge i did..

Way to Go! - SNSD

i could've easily said "oh!" for my favourite mv, as both "mr taxi" and "bad girl" are out of the question as jap songs *EHEMSTEVEN* but i think.. as cute or well-made the oh mv was, this one always drew me in in a different way, and once again i will talk about it without watching the mv first to really test myself :D

yeah.. i had met soshi before.. back in 2008.. they disappeared from my life for a while after haptic and hahaha promotions.. and halfway through yr11 gee fever hit me (yeah pretty late too.. if i stayed with soshi just a bit longer i would've witnessed both gee and this song come out haha). that aside, i still wasn't truly a SONE, but things started to change early 2010.. i was getting fed more and more soshi.. and when this song; this mv hit me, it was the start of something new.. a side of them i hadn't yet met.. their behind-the-scenes side. and at this point, i was loving it.. this mv also introduced to me the true lovely awesomeness of taeyeon, who has since the concert been crowned my one true bias ^^

the mv is an off-shot video from when they were filming their "gee" music video, hence the costumes and sets and stuff. the mv features heaps of gee bloopers, some NG cuts, and random other BTS hilarities and mucking around. as for the singing and the dancing, i swear they could've just simply filmed both with one take each, just as a break from gee hahaha. but there's much to love from these girls, this mv is an insight on not just their cute appearances, but also fun personalities.. and a fun side is great for everyone. the song itself is upbeat, and the lyrics when looked up are rather encouraging.. and it's a remake of the haptic theme, which we all know has a special place in my heart.. that's probably an addition to what made this song even more awesome.. nothing bad comes out of this melody XD

yeah i just watched it again after finishing this post, and came back here to edit. as attractive as it is to sees oshi performing, it's awesome to just see them being their normal goofy selves =)

Day 07 - A song that you know all the lyrics to.

i don't think there's any "right" answer for this question.. because the only kpop lyrics i would know from start to end these days i would think are english songs by either big bang or jyj.. but that's cheating, it defeats the purpose. however, that said.. i would like to draw attention to the closest thing i would have to a legitimate response:

yay these answers are so different to my first kpop challenge, a lot has changed since then :] although i don't remember ALL the lyrics to this song, there was a point in which i knew all of it.. even the rap.. and it's such a great and fun song to sing, so catchy too. i sang this song the last time we went to karaoke haha (tried to, my memory was fuzzy of the lyrics). of course the reason i learned the lyrics to this song in the first place, is because i love the song, and realized i could sing it on pitch, and singing along with songs you love always makes things much more fun x.x but i pride myself in the fact that i once learned all the lyrics to a difficult song like this =D

Day 08 - A song you can dance to.

ah this question.. from singing we now move on to dancing. in all truth, i could've said heaps of songs for this question.. because as A2N we have done a lot of kpop dances, and "a song you can dance to" is very vague anyway, you can dance to anything that has a good beat or is danceable in general. but i'll answer this question with the most recent dance that i deliberately learned just for my own pure enjoyment:

Cry Cry - T-ara

yes the girls of t-ara return once more to answer one of my questions. this routine, this song in general has caused some kafuffle that i'm not usually used to. already in love with the song, i watched this dance rehearsal before t-ara even made a comeback, and instantly fell in love with the routine (and learned a bit more than the chorus later that same day) and so i anticipated seeing it performed live. seeing it properly and fully in the rehearsal though is actually better, soyeon is sooo.. talented :] but i really do love this routine. i can't remember the last time i learned a routine just coz i wanted to, not coz we were performing it like "tonight" and "paradise", and not from simply watching it too much (it happens.. i learned a lot of "gee" and "oh!" from spamming too many perfs -.-)

almost 6:40.. that means i've been awake for 5 hours. i was actually going to do my kpop blog at like 3 around.. but i instead ate lunch, and in the process watched more school rumble.. but since the episodes are conjoined.. i ended up watching the final 6 episodes all in one gulp x.x

yay.

but i love this show hahaha. i don't think i've watched it properly like this since 2007 when i first watched it. without any spoilers, i couldn't take one of the last things to happen seriously, coz i knew exactly what was gonna happen. but at the time i watched it for the first time back then (i suddenly remembered watching it again) i thought it was the most awesome thing haha.

it's different watching the show this time though.. for a number of reasons. the first thing, the most apparent thing (for me) is the manga.. watching it coming straight out of bakuman, is a different thing. once upon a time, this show was my prime, and not bakuman (bakuman hadn't even been written yet haha). that said, once upon a time i could relate to harima much much more than i would say i relate to mashiro these days. the antics, the shenanigens, that's what it's all about.. i remember i think i used to get annoyed at some points in this show.. when everything would just return to reality.. but i guess that's what this show is about.. ultimately it's about youth and school.. and that's just how life is.

when i watched this show, nearly 5 years ago, i was in yr9 and they were in yr11.. now i'm about to start my second year of uni.. and i'm just soaking in what karasuma said to wrap the show up: "we are in a dream right now, a dream called youth. one day we will wake up from this dream, but the memories will always remain" something like that. it's true though.. it does remind me heavily of my school days, even the overreacting ways harima tends to often think in.. sigh.. sentimental generation haha. that said, i can't speak so much for tenma's behalf.. as much as i love her as the heroine of the show, understandibly i relate more to harima.. but i'm sure tenma's thoughts and portrayals of things are well written too.. i at least think so and i'm not even a girl haha.

but i do love this show. i was looking at the relationships chart i saw years ago earlier.. the massive amount of characters in this story allows for different connections, rivalries, even whole class battles. it's awesome. i dunno.. it's all just awesome haha. eventually, it becomes less about just harima, tenma and karasuma.. but about school in general.

next to toradora and lucky star, this is my favourite school life show, but this show has more of a class feel to it, and you really do stick your teeth into the different students in their class. and unlike toradora which i like for the story, and lucky star for the slice of life feel in general, i reckon this show truly captures the SCHOOL LIFE feel in an awesome way. definitely one of my favourite shows overall, and i'll always remember my own school days when i watch this show ^^

you're gonna get a real whif of my taste in kpop music from this post, coz all 3 of these songs that i answer with are connected in the way they are composed and arranged. you'll see. but i have a tendency to like songs like these.. and hence have a playlist to songs dedicated to songs of this kind, and related songs of awesome.

Day 3. Describe your favorite video of your favorite boy band

for this question, i stopped to think.. because in past posts.. i've ranted and raved about "haru haru" and "love song" previously, songs that i would probably say feature my favourite big bang music videos, next to songs like "tell me goodbye" and "koe wo kikasete", neither of which i can answer with because they are both technically jpop and not kpop. so instead my answer is brought back to here:

Lies - Big Bang

i'm actually going to write about it before i watch myself, see how much i can talk about it. thinking about it.. maybe i don't really like big bang music videos as much as i like their music/performances o_o because with other groups i spam music videos more than big bang.. perhaps it's a good thing. that said, the big bang music video style has definitely impacted my way of making music videos, especially "haru haru".

"lies" though, obviously inspired me, as we made our own spinoff of it hahaha. the mv feels fresh. they feel much more street here, like kids being random.. it was different coming out of dbsk to here, i remember that much. the guys acted like an embodiment of the girl's conciousness.. haunting her as she tried to get through her day normally and forget about prior events that were troubling her. of course this put them in interesting and funny positions (though one would still take them seriously, which is awesome haha) it had them following her on the street, in elevators.. rollerblading around her as she walked to her car (of course riding in her car too) and even helping her do the groceries and standing in the bathroom while she sat on the toilet lost in thought. awesome right? haha. that said, the music video also features lots of random but awesome singing scenes behind bars and driving around in a convertible at the end. (and of course the blooper real at the end)

i could've also answered this question with "last farewell".. but there's a lot more gimmick there.. i think i legit like "lies" better. yeah i just watched it again. a lot of shots set up well, and what i like about big bang mvs is how they match the music to the video well, even in terms of drama progression.

Day 05 - Your all time favourite song.

for this answer, the "all-time" put me off, and i was gonna switch the posts of rising sun and this one around.. but i'm lazy and it defeats the purpose of sticking to an honest 15 day challenge on 15 different days. that said, this is a song that is worthy of a title of "favourite kpop song" for me, because when i always think of my favourite kpop songs, this one is always one of the first to come to mind, if not the first.

TTL (Time to Love) - T-ara & Supernova

i always find myself sharing this song, perhaps because i don't expect people to know much about t-ara or supernova, or especially about this collab.. but of course it's also because this song IMO is freaking awesome. it's my favourite t-ara song, despite being a collab. listening to it, one would overlook the fact that 5 out of the 7 performers are rappers, because even so, it sounds so melodic. this was the song that first showed me soyeon's amazing voice (bo peep didn't really show it off as much haha) and it crowned eunjung my favourite female rapper across all kpop (yes even above the ilkes of hyuna, amber and nicole). there's something that draws me to songs with strong beat and light piano riff.. somehow the melodic bgm and rhythmic vocals (rapping) make for an awesome combination.. and the chorus is just amazing-sounding. i've also placed the MV as one of my favourite kpop MVs of all time in my previous challenge (the only MV to make it onto my psp so far haha) but even the song alone is enough to soak up the awesome.

Day 06 - A song that still gives you the shivers.

when asked to think of a song that still gives me "shivers".. the first one that came to mind (the only one actually coz i settled on this as my answer) rightfully deserves the title. especially the "still" part, as one of the earliest music videos i witness released in my kpop life, the song and music video can both impact the same way even after almost 4 years. of course this song is..

Haru Haru (Day by Day) - Big Bang

i need not point out the similar features it has to TTL, the strong beat, the piano riff, the strong rhythmic rapping and awesome melodic chorus.. the major difference is the more mellow/melancholy feel/tone of this song. hence the "shivers" - it can still make me get into that "zone".. that melancholy zone even if i'm not necessarily feeling down or whatever, i can still get mooded temporarily to properly absorb this awesome song. it still has the power to make me feel that surge of power that makes you wanna like punch the air or lip sync a scream hahaha. it's awesome like that. and listening to it, thanks to the mv, i always imagine gd/top's rap at the start as a conversation.. but it can just as easily represent one mindset; one voice; one person.

Describe your favorite video of your favorite boy band

This music video is very simple. Yet has a very deep meaning and emotional effect. Behind the drama there is also shots of DBSK singing to this song. The drama in the MV sort of reminds me of Taeyang's wedding dress, very similar story. Also the scenes of just the boys singing, either standing there as a group or having a solo, it is very simple yet achieves a powerful effect which i believe expresses the meaning behind the song.

Your all time favourite song.

This question is quite difficult for me. Personally i don't have an all time favourite. I have songs i listen to depending on moods and situations and i never really picked any song to be my all time favorite because all of them are my favorite at different points in my life. But thinking about this question i'll answer it with a song that i will mostly always listen to whenever the situation is. for some reason at this time, i think of this song. It is quite an old song. I found it during the O Sei Han Go days and liked it right away :D

A song that still gives you the shivers.
Honestly i would say Love in the Ice by DBSK. That song is seriously so beautiful and whenver i listen to it, i would just be wowed every time at the vocals of this group. Their combination for ballads is seriously the best out there. But since i already used that i'll pick another one that also has a simialr effect on me. It is Bolero.

Edit: i have realised i picked all japanese songs lol. But to me they are korean artists and it still works :D

my travels

i just watched "the city of new york vs homer simpson" here: (http://www.wtso.net/movie/3-The_Simpsons_901_The_City_of_New_York_vs_Homer_Simpson.html) after about 4 clicks of the "random" button and choosing this one. and man.. that has always and will always be a good episode. so concise, densley packed and well used. and i realized that in my travels overseas (that i never actually blogged about densely) i referred to taht episode at least 3 times in a spammy way. first there was the new york flash back, the kau kalash thing.. and "iiiiii'm checking iiiiiiinn~!" yeah..

today's been a rather relaxing day overall. woke up at like 12:30 and have been pretty much just watching anime all day, found a new show to watch this morning and watched the first 4 eps.. and i watched about 3 or 4 episodes of school rumble with pizza when my brother got home later. in between that i played much dissidia while listening to the OP of shana III (awesome song). freaking hell. i was right to turn off my phone when school ended. like 4 stalker messages x_x but yeah, spammiest match against ultimecia using cloud.. she escaped death so many times x_x even odined my 9999 bravery -__-" oh ffs x_x i don't feel safe posting here.. what i say might be read x_x anyway yeah, i played a worms game or two with a new game style i made with the 2 new (old) weapons as the only form of offense (longbow & oldwoman)

the last thing i wanted to post about.. was that derpy train ride yesterday -.- after a long day of filming and tiring ourselves out, we headed to cabramatta to find dinner (we chose thai food btw). but the trip home was the most derpiest experience, post-liverpool. it's one thing for druggy weirdos to talk to you on the train.. it's just a matter of nodding your head and stuff. it's another thing for agro kids to rant and rave on trains.. you kinda just ignore them. but when they're both there x_x maaadd.. this dodgy old lady was talking to us, and turns out she had been arguing with this apparently abo kid (maybe he was half or something.. he didnt look it) and he was ranting and raving about "captain muthaf**kin james cook" and a lot of "get out of the country stuff. and that lady's counterarguments kinda didn't make any sense. at one point.. wait.. far out still get message when i turn phone on x_x anyway she said something liek "why do people do what they do?" and pointed out why does robert leave his wallet sitting next to him and said "maybe he needs to leave it there" robert (across from us) was like o_o and she was like "i dare you to take it from him" or something.. something provoking like that and robert was like .___. and far i dunno haha.. the kid was gonna like fake taking it. the opint is the whole ride was derp and we changed carriages at glenfield. an experience i guess. on a possibly brighter note, officers checking for tickets before we got to minto. good thing we bought them haha. i know we were both THAT close to not haha.

Day 2. Name your favorite kpop girl band and why

this one was a no-brainer haha. it would even be a no-brainer if someone answered it for me. coz anyone who knows me knows the answer to this question. drumroll please. *drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*

Girls' Generation (SNSD)

no surprise there right? ;D this photo btw is from the "genie" days. i was gonna upload a picture from the "gee" days, the days i really started to sink my teeth into these 9 young ladies.. but i decided to go with this one. there's more "life" in this photo.. and that's what we love about them right? =D despite my tendency to favour female groups over male groups (actually why is that? hmm.. hot is hot i guess) and all the favourite groups and biases within them that i have, the one that comes out on top is always soshi.. and i always come back to them.

the sydney kpop music fest was proof enough how sone i was, the spaz-levels with pink lightstick in hand x.x the concert actually further INCREASED my sone-ism. but snsd are more than just pretty faces (don't get me wrong, they're definitely pretty faces hahaha) but there's a lot to love there, a group of very talented girls who can sing, dance and more.. and their music and choreography is really great time after time. each girl also adds her own flavour tot he mix as well, and people have their own specialties.. and they're so full of character and fun both on and off stage. all in all, i just love them, okay? hahaha. besides.. i've grown very sentimentally attached to them. besides dbsk and big bang, they actually majorly inspired me as a performer.. molded both who i am and who i wanna be.

Day by Day - SNSD

when last i did a kpop challenge, i said that "way to go" was my favourite soshi song. and no doubt, it is definitely still up there, but i would think that my all-time favourite soshi song is this one, "day by day", which i discovered randomly one day when just browsing for new soshi songs; found it and instantly fell in love with it, early 2010. despite the fact that only 5/9 sing (not complaining.. i like these 5 haha) the song just sounds really great.. it's so chill, i love it, and when i looked up the lyrics translation i just loved it even more. soshi forever man.. my favourite song for always, and a competitor for my "all-time favourite" kpop song

Day 04 - A song from your favourite boy group.

as big bang are now in the steed of my male group bias, i am to post a song from them. i was going to post "stupid liar" because somehow i am really drawn to that song.. and i really feel like posting it i dunno why, i don't even spam it as much as other big bang songs.. but i guess somehow i really love it. instead, since i've posted a perf of my favourite soshi song.. it's only fitting i post a perf of my favourite big bang song!

Lies - Big Bang

since it didn't let me post the "love letter" perf (my favourite perf) i instead choose to post this one, my first "lies" perf, and the very first big bang perf i ever watched ever. yes i remember that far back. big bang was the first group that i "got into" besides dbsk which was like my birthplace.. and likewise "lies" was both their first song i heard, and also the first song i loved.. and to this day it remains my favourite. back in the days when they seemed like a simple hiphop group, which catchy choreo.. the song combines sweet rapping against a strong beat and light piano riff (deathly combination for me x.x) and of course the catchy melody. it's both upbeat and mellow so fits many moods, and i never get tired of it or skip it on my ipod. "lies" is the best.

Name your favorite kpop girl band and why

What can i say. I'm sure this is pretty much a given. My favorite girl group is Girls' Generation aka SNSD. According to memory, i first knew them through "Haptic" commercial which also had DBSK. I then further became interested when i was introduced to Oh! and Gee. I personally like and enjoy their concept and also their group as a whole. And i must say getting the chance to see them in person at the Sydney K-pop music festival last year was a memorable and unforgettable experience which truly made me a SONE forever. “Right now it’s Girls’ Generation! From now on it’s Girls’ Generation! Forever Girls’ Generation! Girls’ Generation, I love you!” gotta love the motto.

Day 1. Name your favorite kpop boy band and why

this feels forced coz i wanna do it before feb1 ends coz the new layout is pressuring me hahaha. anyway.. i'm going by current groups.. this is gonna be very controversial.. but my current favourite guy group is.. *drumroll*

BIG BANG

B to the I to the G (bang bang) yes the man has betrayed his cassiopeian roots and nowadays is more a vip than either kind of cassie. the truth is, although i loved who dbsk were back then.. as much as i still support tvxq and jyj as they are now, the support and love actually isn't as high as for big bang. also, big bang have been flushing out awesome songs and videos this whole time while dbsk went through turmoil.. and their stuff isn't as good (don't get me wrong, they are still amazing performers, and their stuff is still good..) it's just not what it used to be. and my support these days fills the VIP shoes of a big bang supporter.

cassie vs vip arguments aside, the reason why they are my favourite is because.. people who know me should know i don't support many dude groups at all hahahaha. not ilke support support, i'll ilsten to their music but i won't be excited for ocmebacks or whatever. the only 2 groups i REALLY support are classic dbsk and big bang.. and big bang have grown and become awesome since the days i first listened to lies.. their music still appeals to me, their special edition album specially.. "tonight" "love song" "somebody to love" "stupid liar" all awesome.. especially "stupid liar". their choreography is awesome.. each and every one of them has the charisma and talent to perform solo (it's been proven with all their solo MVs) and as a group of 5 solo artists, they all add their own flavour to become one awesome group of performers.

yes.. their official name is "TVXQ!" but i refer to them as dbsk, the name i referred to them as back in the glory days. i overlooked how much i like this song, next to O it almost has the right to be called my "favourite". i have a lot of favourite songs really.. i could easily sub "lies" or "ttl" in here.. but i chose this one.. i dunno why. because at one point it WAS my favourite song. i've always loved a lot of songs.. but at one stage i declared that "rising sun" was my favourite song.. the play count proves it anyway haha. (i was going to change this answer yet again.. but now i cbf coz its almost 3am x_x)

Name your favorite kpop boy band and why?
Well i believe my favorite boy band will definitely, without a doubt be DBSK. DBSK was a group that introduced me to the world of k-pop and what lead me to the many high quality music i listen to these days. I have to thank Robert for introducing me to them as well :D
Well i have say, DBSK is to this day, what i believe to be the group that has everything in one whole package, when they were still 5. Though even now they dominate but in my opinion if they were still 5 they can achieve even greater heights.
DBSK is a group that has everything, the looks, the moves, the voice, everything that makes them one of the best kpop group and a reason why they have the largest fan base.

What is your favorite and least favorite song?
Hmm my favorite song. This is actually quite difficult because personally i like many songs and i never really pick a favorite. I like songs really depending on my mood and any song can be my favorite then as long as it feels right for me. Well as of this moment if i had to pick my favorite song right now would be.....dance wise - Boyfriend's - You and I. Such a great dance and song.

Picking my least favorite song is much more easier than picking a favorite. I don't really understand why i bear a particular distaste for this group but i guess it is just my personal taste and their concept and their songs really does not appeal to me. So i would say my least favorite song that i can think of, meaning it is a song i would not listen to even if it's there in front of me, would be a 2NE1 song. don't even know a name... XD

just because i randomly got "santa u are the one" and then "diamond" in my head while i was having a latenight shower.. i was hungry so i grabbed some toast.. and instead of watching our own A2N perfs to inspire me, i decided to listen to "diamond", and then youtube it to see if they've ever done it live.. which they have.. and that's where it started..

seohyun has really grown to become an amazing singer herself x.x and jessica.. she amazes me with that powerful voice. sure it sounds squeaky haha, but that's her, that's jessica.. she's so good at what she does.

and this perf that i watched just now.. this simply took my breath away.. taeyeon is.. just.. amazing. in every way possible.

why didn't i know there were all these perfs x.x why did i not search them up back during christmas? i guess christmas was pretty busy being different haha in germany. now i'm just bummed that i didn't get to watch these during christmas.. but man.. there's still so many more that i haven't seen but i should go to bed.

soshi.. they are amazing. i will always be a SONE. and i need to find a way to cross our destinies again.. it saddens me that the closest i can be to them/her is watching a small video uploaded to the internet..

the story of my last hour.. haha

when i got onto the comp just now, things started the way they usually do, with me checking my fb and then youtube.. and i found exo-m's "what is love" mv on my feed. debut time it looks like, finally. and from there, i also watched the kor version, pretty much the same mv-wise hahaha. but that made me discover the new layout thing for youtube, if someone uploads more than one thing at once, it like.. hides all but 1 x_x

^ the kor version sounds slightly better i reckon, but the m version sounds more.. chinese hahaha. i really think they shoulda gone for different songs/styles to debut with.. i mean what's the point x_x it's just like having 2 groups that do translated versions of each others songs, the suju subgroups hve different styles, even suju-m has a distinct slick/smooth style.

i just spent the last like 20 minutes or half an hour looking for pictures of balloons hahaha. but yeah..from that exo-k video, i went to their apparent official youtube channels, which wasnt much different to the main sm one, but it was just them. i also discovered that all the other artists apparently have official channels. and so i started on tvxq, and worked my way down the list. i don't think i'll bother subscribing though.. i get the same stuff on smtown, my youtube will get messy adding another like 5 of 6 channels to it.. besides it would double up, like how i'm subscribed to both big bang and yg.

they need to take more pro photos of balloons, i should do it myself once i get a hold of all these balloons.

but i wonder what makes SMtown tick.. i mean.. i've stuck with them, but i guess i was born into the kpop world here, my avid biasism has always been in SMtown groups.. but lately.. with the most releases last year, with the exception of "blind" by trax, the other stuff felt really dry x_x fx's "hot summer", suju's 2 new releases and even "the boys". both musically and filmographically it felt weehh.. i'm not even really feeling exo tbh.. but sm still get away with it because there are hoards of sm lovers everywhere, be they cassies, elfs, shawols, sones, whatever. and they all support each other (actually the elfs might be retarded) but they still support the sm releases even though in all honesty they suck x_x

smtown as a whole is definitely my favourte company-wise, i mean i branched off rainbow from kara and co-ed from t-ara, but yeah.. weehhlehs. i just hope they pick up the slack.. watch lucifer, the boys or like any suju song from the last 3 years on synthesia and look how it goes melodically x_x (that said, the songs do work in an addictive sense but yeah weehh)

that said.. i really like that christmas mv.. musically it sounds really good, and pretty people everywhere. i dont think i have to be specifically, know us and know what im talking about haha.

i guess sm just gotta get their facts straight coz there are good things out there, they have talented people, just their way of doing things right now is with melodically un-dynamic songs and studio-strong mvs. it definitely feels sm, but it's a different sm that we knew before. but even though i say they suck.. i still obviously support sm.. hmm.. that's what being biased is about i guess hahaha. i was born into kpop in smtown, i sitll live in smtown

well exo are here now.. we'll see what flavours they add to smtown. another 12 faces to memorize and get used to x.x

for the past like.. week.. (frankly i cant remember last week) but all week i've been on an unintentional soshi strike.. watching nothing but like t-ara and afterschool for the most part, but i've just broken that myself by watching this perf here.

this is actually the most recent that i have seen soshi x.x crazy, no? but i did not watch new stuff while iw as overseas. i havent seen maknae's hair this dark in aaages. she looks like yuri with dark hair haha. and jess looks really pretty in this perf, not intending to step on anyone's shoes though *coughstevencough*

yeah i've been t-ara-ing all night instead of doing anything productive.. i'm braindead in terms of choreography. but i actually cbf to write anything meaningful right now coz i'm so sleepy.. i just thought i'd post about breaking my t-ara streak and my soshi strike for some reason.

commentary on bakuman, as i do. i love this series. even as i rewatch stories i've already read like two years ago (yeah so long o_o) i still enjoy it, and i raelize now why it's lengthiness is a good thing as a manga series.. for one i can enjoy the ongoing tension of a realistic battle of make or break every week, but also it's realism in that making it in the industry is not that easy, that's what makes it real but cool.

yesterday i caught up on 5 of the 6 episodes i missed while i was away, and i finished it after lunch today, with episode 15.. they've hit that really interesting chain of events in the tanto time period. tanto used to be the midpoint of the story, now it's like within the first half x_x

as for the manga.. i have 2 chapters to read, but i've begun reading again from chapter 159, to relive the hype that i skimmed over.. i haven't read since i was like in munich or something.. sheesh o_o but only now do i understand the meaning behind the hiramaru line.. it's connected to the flashback in the chapter before. nyaww. now i understand, now i get it.

back to reading! i paused after 160, time to move onwards to see what else lies in store!

ah i see.. 162 was a nostalgic/reminiscent/reflective chapter, in sync with new year's, 8 years into the story, almost 4 years into serialization. wow.. it really feels like they're wrapping things up now x_x i don't know how to feel, this final battle/showdown seems very apparent. but i wish i felt more nostalgia.. i blame my brother's loud mario galaxy 2.

that said.. hmm.. i just feel all "ngaww =/" inside for some reason. i mean, these guys never take a break for new year's, but now they finally did.. and yet.. mashiro's somehow content with just being shujin and miyoshi? i guess.. after 8 years, though regretable, he's used to being apart from azuki.. you can tell i'm really attached to this series x_x don't ask me why, there's a lot of reasons, i won't bother answering.

but ultimately.. when it comes down to it.. as much as this story preaches about dedication.. why is it something i always boast.. but deep down.. don't really and truly have..?

i need to, want to, and should, make something of myself. be somebody..

what are dreams?

are they congregations of thoughts and feelings in our own head? are they visualisations of our inner most fears and desires? or are they merely a flurry of images based on our own past experiences and memories?

if they are merely built from our own thoughts or memories, why is it that on some occasions, we believe dreams to have been sent from an external source? perhaps as a gift if the dream is good, an experience one can only have in the calm of their sleep; or as a warning if they are bad, a heads up for events to come.

but which are the dreams that torture us more? the good ones or the bad ones? are we tormented more for the loss of our joy upon waking up to our sadder realities? or are we traumatized by the things we cannot control, that make us cringe and shiver in fear in the middle of the night?

dreams are something we cannot control, but they can control us in one way or another..

so today wasn't productive after all

derp i say x_x it's almost midnight..

i spent the rest of the day what.. rotating between reading about dissidia allusions and playing dissidia after, and i watched modern family while i ate dinner and like.. talked a lot after that.

but then i somehow found myself on the SM wiki page (after visiting the core contents one).. and found a few interesting things..

take this table for one.. i looked at it straight after reading the "controversies" section (you can guess what THAT was about -.-) but the fact that they have a "disbanded" column.. is just sad x_x but look.. no group really ever lasted more than 5 years o_o especially that shinvi group x_x it's a miracle that dbsk (even with just the 2 of them now) have lasted this long x_x i guess SM was more terrible back then, and dbsk were really the amazing guys who made it through with hundreds of thousands of cassies everywhere..

i cant even imagine what it'd be like to hear that suju or shinee or fx are disbanding.. or worse.. soshi .__. it just seems so.. out there. you never hear about bad things happening x_x but i guess noone knew about the contracts until the JYJ and hankyung stuff..

the other thing that shocked me was this..

i mean i knew that people like soyeon and chanmi came from SM, coz they were meant to be in soshi. but this extensive list of people who left SM shocked me o_o i mean i never knew anything about DSP artists being under SM.. gd was the real shocker though .__. i thought he was yg ever since.. for like 6 years or something. and gayoon.. and woori.. and GO.. and raina x_x like holy crap. actually derp.. does every main vocalist of everyone come from SM? hahahha. but that aside.. is SM really THAT terrible .__.

that said.. it IS pretty derp that so many main vocalists coincidentally were at one stage or another part of SM.. i mean like.. dbsk as 5 were like a whole group of potential main vocalists haha.. with angel-voice hero as their lead.

sigh..

SMtown is a weird place.. it's heaven for the fans and hell for the performers.

we should all look to the SMtown artists with respect. but not because they're amazing performers or really good-looking.. but because they're the strongest of the probably hundreds of SM trainees x_x they can endure the crazy SM schedules and all the crap and hate they put up with.

here we go.. like 3pm.. after intending to wake at 10:30, but failing and hence getting up at almost noon. then i killed an hour and a half just google surfing for dissidia pictures x_x

how is it even possible to kill so much time on google image search..

oh man.. i looked back at old posts to check if i format my wmp thing the same, and i saw all these taeng gifs.. i have strayed so far from soshi since that period of time when i watched bad girl and/or mr taxi everyday when i was away.. ahah x_x

but i remember what i was gonna do today now, i was gonna go watch bangkok city again.. but i havent yet, but i have spent a lot of itme watching kpop, (kara is technically jpop) but you'll realize why i killed so much time with kpop.

i started things out manly, watched "lucifer" by shinee, coz i remembered it was like "purple line" by dbsk, which i also watched. i forgot how cool everyone looks there. everyone in kpop has shortened metro hair now.

i moved on to kara, watching "step", and two mvs i have yet to watch, "go go summer" and "winter magic", the latter of which i think is a cool mv. and after that i checked out "sixth sense" by brown eyed girls, pretty badass.. the feel of the mv is so.. creative to say the least. but i like it.

and THEN.. this is what took forever.. i moved on to t-ara, i rewatched "cry cry" (not as effective coz i'm so immune to the song now, i cant believe its been that long since it came out... i guess my holiday was a massive gap) but that took 15 minutes.. then i watched their new epic mv, "lovey dovey". so long x_x and at first i didnt get why they switched actresses from jiyeon to qri but yeah. then i watched the mv to the song which im listening to now, "we were in love". yay soyeon.

farrrrr.. time is gone.

their image/s in these recent drama MVs though is so different to their stage presence.. i mean i like t-ara, but they can use work on their stage presence. "cry cry" ballad version live isn't strong enough for me (then again i'm a cassie.. derp), but i dunno.. sometimes some of them lack dancing energy too, like jiyeon.

but thinking about it, t-ara have come a long way since they debuted in 2009, rainbow haven't i don't think.. not really anyway. t-ara's evolution is more apparent, but i guess rainbow debuted late 2009 as opposed to early like t-ara. f(x) haven't grown as much as they could've, but i guess major delays with amber's absence.. meanwhile 2ne1, though from that 2009 generation have skyrocketed to be in the same tier/league as soshi and wg, which is like x.x but yeah.. as for 4minute.. well hyuna's the only one who gets shoved in our face constantly.. but hot is hot i guess. oh yeah.. after school were 2009 too. dang. i haven't seen their early MVs since back then .__.

today has been a relaxing day

today i finished watching "boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai", i watched the final 6 episodes, the ones i missed while on holiday, in doses of 2 in between naps and dissidia sessions. bwahahaha. i knew it was a 12ep show just by looking at it when i first started watching. the end of ep11 is a rather tearbend moment, maybe not really.. but yeah.

yeah it's a weird show but it's quite the funny

today me and batehup crossed off many ways to kill boredom, so many in fact that there were times which we sat there thinking "now what?"

today was about dissidia 012, yugioh, smash brawl and worms ultimate mayhem, accompanied by pies, chocolate and lemonade gello, with time for a newgrounds flash movie and a preview of my new video somewhere in there too. how productive. smash was pathetic, coz we suck, killed myself so many times haha. but as for dissidia, batehup dies to terra, the ultimate.

they're messing with the very framework of what the internet IS. the internet has thrived thanks to free sharing, likewise so have many people, groups and industries. i reckon even the kpop wave would never be a million times as successful if it weren't for youtube. and i LITERALLY MEAN A MILLION.

but first i gotta say.. its 4pm exactly when i write this line in munich, germany.. on dec 30. its not quite NYE yet, but i dont know when i'll be able to post coz i'll bbe flying to london tomorrow, and who knows what else coz itll actually be my first NYE out of the house, and who even knows if ill have internet at my next stop.

i havent had time to reflect on anything, been too busy travelling. i dont wanna sound ungrateful or anything, but im tired of travelling.. haha. i wanna go home and let my creative spirit explode. but i guess.. the real touring begins once i get to london. for now everything's just been different and i've been weirded out, especially about christmas. it at least made me realize how much i love my christmas as it is.

yknow i wanted to make an end of year video or two, but i never did =( one was gonna be a top 5 countdown of relevant songs this year, complimented with footage of when it happened.. it was to include songs like "empty", "tonight", "kung fu fighting", "kissing you" and the amazing race theme haha. you could figure out why.

- being in the VIP crowd at the sydney kpop fest, i will never ever forget the awesome energy and pumpedhood of being there. freaking best.
- the day before, day of rehearsals and stalking starting at the airport and continuing while i showed around my new QLD friends jordan and jack was just as awesome
- the year was kicked off with SHINee, my first live kpop perf. was awesome
- awesomeness continued with quest crew's sydney takeover while the guys who inspired me performed RIGHT IN FRONT of my very eyes (no kidding i was right up to the stage)
- it was followed up in april by final fantasy distant worlds, no regrets going to that at all. was beautiful. with dissidia 012 which i bought just days before, together they resparked and massively expanded my love for final fantasy, as i bought and finished VIII, I and VI this year
- sleepless nights and massive stress was well worth it all for my beloved grandmother's 90th birthday party
- all the hype and awesomeness leading to and at the 3 major foodsoc events.. the first buffet, the awesome camp.. and of course the amazing race which me and robert toiled over so much for
- looking down at sydney and over the pacific and its islands as i left, beginning my massive world tour, which in all honesty feels more like a transition between this year and next as opposed to part of it o.o

i'm so pumped creatively right now. i always get pumped in one way or another when i read bakuman.

i wasn't even sure if i wanted to read earlier tonight, but i figured since i'm on the net for free i might as well.

i caught up on chapter 160 and 161 just now. chapter 160 is so NYAWWWWWWWw i wish i wasnt reading it in a freaking hotel lobby, i'd slow it down and really savour it, but it was so mushy i was edged to skim it coz im in public haha. but its so ngawwwww~..

as for 161.. such pump. it's not even a particular tense time of the manga, but i learn a lot about my own stories and such when i read this. that said, i really should work on them more. i get ideas everyday but i dont write them down coz i dont know how to organize them. i better start tonight one way or another before all my ideas this week get lost.

a year has passed quickly in the bakuman world, since they've reached november again in the span of like 5 or 6 chapters (or what feels like that) whatever it was that they decided to make reversi.

but shit is real and i still cant get over chapter 160, its such a relevant thing. and as for this new chick.. i expected more from her. maybe we will get more from her. is he gonna cheat on azuki? .__. he proably wont, but as much as i like her and them, theres something oddly exciting about it. well ploanned and inserted coming straight out of all that romantic crap in the previous chapter/s

we'll see how things go from here.

but in the meantime.. the story is awesome. the ability to create whatever story you want and have it appreciated by the masses.. is an awesome ability. and i want that ability. i always assume that things will be successful and i dont know if thats wrong.. but perhaps the mindset i need is that i wont take no for an answer.. coz i really do want the high rep and the high revenue, as bad as it sounds.. but the higher my rep, the better my resources and the more awesome the
movie.

and maybe learning korean wont be so terribole after all. living in korea huh.. hmm.. i've been thinking about it a lot lately. but something ive been thinking about all year is that i want kpop artists doing my OSTs. as proposterous as it sounds.. you work with what you like hahhaa. i'll figure it out. but to make it work, you gotta make it work.

chris once mentioned, on our last man-date before i left for this holiday, that "you really are meant to do this" (referring to me) and i believe him.. i agree with him. quoting from a hilarius movie, sister act 2: "if you wake up in the morning and you can think about nothing but singing, then you're meant to be a singer" likewise with everything else.

my mum mentions when i'm unsure of buying things, if i dont know, then it means i dont really want it. it makes sense. if youre unsure with what you want, then maybe you dont really want it. but if there is something that without a doubt you must have or really want or need to have. then go for it.

i've had uncertainties before, and a lot of things that i wanted to do, and still want to do. but i always figured this was my destiny. it's the best way.

there's a lot of things that i'm mediocre at. i'm a faker in all honesty. i'm not an amazing artist, but i can draw well enough for people to like it. i'm not a professional pianist, but i can give my playing enough flavour for it to invoke feeling. i'm not a professional dancer, a mad singer or much of a musician at all.

but i am willing to push hard to make movies.

and i've been making movies ever since.

it's crazy that i uncovered old stop motions from 2005 before i left to go on holiday. old scripted movies i made with my cousins but never post-produced. it made me remember that it wasnt the first time i did stop motion or script or storyboard, animation or anything. and when i get back, i'm going to continue through all that old footage and stuff.. i've got to dig out my roots and continue to inspire myself.

people who are professional performers now have been singing since they were like 5.. i havent.. and it always bummed me out because i figured because i wasnt like that ages ago, why would i be like them now.

but i HAVE been busy since i was little. not musically though.. creatively.

and i've got to harness my god-given gifts to its best, find the best possible route and break into the industry early and awesomely.

in the meantime, all i wanted to blog about last night but didn't, was that it doesn't feel like christmas.. despite christmas decor being everywhere since i first arrived on this holiday. i think for me.. it would feel more like christmas if i was at home =( doing what i usuaully do, chrismtas shopping, christmas cooking/eating, general celebrating.. i think that's how i always want to spend christmas.

it's 7:24 in the morning, i have not slept, i never intended to or felt like it anyway. i've had so much to prepare, and not just luggage. i can't believe i shot and edited a vlog in that time.. and things felt very productive before when i crossed things off my to-do list, like sorting my videos into playlists and uploading this perf before i left sydney.

hmm.. i did intend to have a massive blog to sum up my month or so of holidays and highlight the things i failed to mention, but i guess there's no time for that now haha. maybe i'll do it once i get to LA!

few things, in the midst of which i will tell a brief synopsis of today

currently listening to "trouble maker" for the first time..

i had enrolment issues this morning, wouldn't let me sign up for the 4th subject i wanted, almost had a perfect timetable for once -.- that aside, it's still 3 days. anyway, i missed my train coz of that, ended up catching east hills train, which arrived not long after that one anyway (it's good though, coz i missed the trian i could get my ipod which i left at home) and that made the trip tolerable haha. got to sleep at least.

kpop shop was the first stop, steven went all out buying jessica-related stuff haha, while me and john talked about our respective tastes in kpop while looking at all the stuff. i also saw t-ara's "cry cry" dance mv for the first time in there, and john was introduced to suju's "a-cha" which got stuck in my head for the rest of the day and john had to put up with me humming it in his ear haha. robz walked in when "roly-poly" was playing and started dancing to it coz he knwos it haha

after deciding not to eat yet, we then headed to galaxy world and played airhockey, a retarded bowling game, and a rigged claw game. after that, we headed down to SEC to practice paradise more, and filmed another take or two of it (derp i wasnt recording for the best one x_x)

after that, we followed robert's lead for a while. to a jap restaurant for lunch (it was acutally really nice, don't regret getting teriyaki chicken over fish, and thank you john for deciding for me haha). it was ilke yakidori with rice and lettuce. after that, we headed to a pool place for an hour, and we played next to thew hite music tv instead of the kpop tv. who knows why. but john is gay derp.

after that, it was straight to k-mix, and all that footage speaks for itself hahahaha.

"balloons" was good, it had romanization =D so did "into the new world" but that's harder to sing. but yeah, we went there before after the race, and decided to again coz there were 4 mics. but we never found out about their kpop selection until today, it's quite extensive ^^ it has bigbang for once, places generally dont for some reason haha. and lots of other stuff, soshi songs taht i like like day by day and seoul etc, and yeah it's awesome haha.

yeah i don't even feel ilke sleeping right now, even though i should. but mind you, it's not like i'm about to collapse in sleepiness..

so instead of today actually being productive, i for some reason used up my time making these..

the inspiration for these btw, came when steven liked a page on fb called "SNSD", and i went there and liked it too coz it had heaps of photos. some photos had green bg (from the juice promo or something haha) and i thought it'd be funny to photoshop the girls in with me and/or steven. so i tested it out with steven, since i already knew a good picture to sub jess into, and i found a good shot of jess to put in there haha.

after robert replied with his half-ass ms paint job, in which people were talking about soshi's hotness haha.. he made a gna one which featured the paradise 4 of us, in which i replied to (and trumped him) with the above picture haha. (this was a more creative way of posting more kwon yuri onto john's page haha)

yeah so this morning, after my paradise alarm went off like 5 times, i woke up at 10:30 (my alarm is still paradise since last week.. i like to put myself in certain moods right from when i wake up, in this case it was for our new cover routine)

anyway, instead of plugging my ipod into the sound system and playing it like i did yesterday agian, for some reason i flicked through tv, and found friends on gem at 10:30, it was season 7, literally one of the most recent episodes iw atched on dvd, but iw atched it anyway haha. (the one where rosita dies). then for some reason, i kept flicking through channels and found charlie's angels on go!, as in.. the original show, but i watched it, and quite enjoyed it haha. it was a hawaiian episode, go figure. but yeah you can tell this show is about girl power and all, but it doesn't slut 'em up, not like the recent film adaptation does.. that's a lot more kinky. yeah i do film studies so what haha.

^ for some reason i don't think i've seen this, or if i have i've forgotten.

but yes, naturally after watching an hour's worth of charlie's angels, i'd feel like watching soshi's hoot mv. and to be all out nerdy, i gotta make comments on the set and costuming here haha. i mean they worked well, i loved it right from when i saw it, great themed outfits here, and the set (particularly the green flashing one) is well set up; well crafted. it goes with a target motif, which fits both the "shooting" nature of their two concepts: cowboys and charlie's angels, as well as the lyrics and choreography. that green/red combo in colour though relates it to a roulette table, which ties well with siwon's cameo appearance as a james bond-type character.

before the second commercial break, at the halfway point of the show, they showed a preview of this clip while sistar's "how dare you" was still playing.. and jamaica made some pun like "if i said 'why are you being like this?' would you know which artist will play next?" or something. and i was like T-ARAAAAAAA =D it was so foreign though.. coz in the preview, i'm used to seeing things we see every week.. but it was jiyeon, so i was like.. o_O O_O

actually there was no kara, 2am or miss A today, so we didnt get bombarded with all the usuals. but yknow? today was pretty big in terms of artists being added tot he list, but the commercial breaks seemed relevant. t-ara had the middle one as a new group, 4minute got the first one to celebrate cube albums official australian release (jb hifi world square according to steven) and the third one was for that chinese girl group that came here, IME. they're actually pretty cute.

haven't seen this mv in a while, all year in fact. in the chatlogs i read earlier this week though, i kept going on about it early last year hahaha. ga-in is really hot in it though. i remember that BEG phase i had last year haha. good times. i apparently really liked their song "triangle". but yeah this mv is kinky haha. my dad just happened to come upstairs during ga-in's dance solo, and i was like x_x

i actually got the hint that BEG would be added to the list coz i saw abracadabra as a snippet clip during one of the montage thingos, they should stop including suju and fx in those montages and misleading people. but they sure make those updated montages quickly when having new people added.

me and john were just talking about ft island the other day. are they same company as cnblue? i think i read that somewhere.. but yeah john recalled them as "the only other band in kpop". how oculd we both forget trax x_x mad.. battle of the bands. go trax! go kill 'em >=D that said, the other bands are pretty cool, and i'm admitting that about cnblue too.

anyway, this song played straight after abracadabra. and im gonna say, like "cant let you go" by 2am before it, i only recognized the melody thanks to that chinese orchestra medley last year LAWL. sad i know. but i know as a fact that i saw the 2am mv when it came out last year thanks to chris, but i also know that i never saw this one, even though the melody sounded familiar when i haerd it in that melody. good song though.

ok.. this is obviously not new for popasia haha. they've done bigbang before (many times, the first show was like 50% bigbang in fact haha). but its haru haru 2, which is a cool different version from the norm haha. also today, taeyang's feat in that jpop mv was cool too. and i also heard/saw "i dont care" by 2ne1 for the first time.. and i actually like it. hats off to you girls, you've impressed me. yeah i think they played all them yg ones back to back haha. both haru haru and i dont care had blooper reels too haha.

here's an amusing anecdote, i started my migoreng during the first commercial break. but i missed part of "mirror mirror" coz i had to wash a bowl first D= dw i got back up there in time to see hyuna's first bit haha. but yeah, i was gonna go get my noodles to make sure it didnt overcook (coz i hate that) after gna's mv.. and then they said something like "asia's no1 girl group" and im thinking "don't tell me.." and then they said something about tiffany.. and i was like oh shit x_x and then they were like "here's girls' generation with mr taxi". DAMN IT! i ended up staying for the whole thing LAWL. but unfortunately, dbsk or no dbsk next i had to go get my food =/ i was down when their mv started, and back up to see the end

suddenly i feel really bad and down.. teary eyes too.. for fuck's sake why am i posting this publicly then.. god i don't even care.. da crep is where i'm comfortable. where i feel at home. sadly enough. noone reads these things anyway.. it seems they're only here for my memories.. for me to one day read these again and waste hours and hours spread across days reminiscing on old times.

i mixed up the names jinwoon and seulong because my memory from 2am-ing last year failed me. not to worry.. that's not even important.

half an hour or so ago (wow half an hour? i wasted that much time since then?) i finished watching episode 1 of snsd's "star life theater" show that i think i've heard of. steven linked me to part 1 and i ended up watching the whole thing. but instead of feeling good and happy about watching a show based on soshi.. i just came out of it feel numb, cold.. and whatever. like crap.

at this point in time.. i think i just feel lonely more than anything. because the 3 people who iw as talking to all signed out on me, despite my rantings beginning with 2 of them.

i have a single contact online on skype, one who seems to not be interested in DNMs anymore.. can't blame her, we hardly even talk anymore. but hey my fault for being a tough guy who only wanted to add people i actually talk to on skype right? i guess that's an indicator of how many i actually talk to.

there's a bunch of people online on fb, none of which i want to talk to. but hey that's my fault for being antisocial right? why make small -talk? when it's painfully boring, shallow and useless. pointless. time-wasting. besides, in retrospect my life looks better than other people's.. with their drama about people and stuff. or maybe that's ironic.. coz maybe that IS life.. and maybe what i have is.. nothhing. shit all.

why did i stay up until 4 making that video last night.. im so behind on my philafterschool video/s.

noone to talk to. just this.. empty blog. that noone reads except me a year after i post things. all i've been doing lately is reading old things and not caring about new things. there's no point going out with friends.. is there? i don't know. it's a waste of money that's for sure. or not waste.. but it consumes money. money that i don't have. it also consumes time.. time that could be spent being wasted at home instead of doing things i would intend to do at home but don't. in the end i'm too lazy for anything, even the things i set myself to do.. second channel my ass.

laziness isn't going to get me anywhere.. i'm lazy and i know it. if bakuman's taught me anything, it's that if pure skill and talent doesn't get you anywhere, dedication will. and right now it seems like i lack both.. especially the dedication part.

they're amazing. people are amazing. amazing vocalists become singers, amazing dancers become famous dancers, amazing musicians are just.. damn.. amazing.

what am i?

i'm a half-assed counterfit cheap version of all those things. is that why i want to become a director? coz it seems like the only thing i do remotely right, and get credit for? meanwhile i'm not even good enough of a director anyway.. i don't think i just do. that's terrible. and my content is always always lacking. always just trying to go for the gimmick. not good enough to enter film fests probably.. (i know what you're thinking.. "not with that attitude" or some shit.. but bleh).

it seems i always ask myself if i want to be a director.. because in times like these i always say "i don't want to!" because i always want to be somewhere else, somewhere where my destiny doesn't lie. yeah you're gonna be all "destiny isn't yours to decide". or maybe in fact, i'm the one thinking these things when i think other people would say them.. freaking hell. consoling myself. what an asshole.

being in hollywood is the only thing i can imagine for my future though.. it's like i know i'm going to get there, one way or another, and will work to somehow get there.. that's the kind of attitude that gets people to places.. yet i don't have it with toher thigns, instead i just cry when i don't think i can get to other places i wanna be (figuratively cry).

why do i even want to be a performer.. i don't even want to be.. well i do.. kind of.. i wouldn't want to be one for my whole life. i love performing arts.. but i'm too shit in all categories to be a somebody. "just practice phil!" what.. everrrrrr.. i'm too impatient for that. by the itme i'd eventually reach the industry, the people who motivated me to do so will be gone.. yes what a shit reason to want to be a performer: for the people.

the fame is obviously the worst part, well.. fame fame isn't bad, but public fame like unable to breathe or go anywhere is terrible.

that video.. felt like a tease in so many ways. korean people can just showup whenever at tv studios to see these people, we have to wait through 2 or 3 years of fanhood for a 10 second glimpse of them at the airport.. it reminds me of how happy i was.. how happy i was to see how real they were.. not pre-recorded.. but there, living and breathing with us. (or at least.. near us)

to think that they would live lives similar to us.. still attend school/uni? i question myself as to how much of it is real and how much was staged.. how often do they really go? are they really actually good at writing essays? argh i dunno.. but the part about working on assignments in breaks.. i can actually belive. (autally it only sunk in now that yuri etc have ipads. mad). i can believe that because they are dedicated. living a life that is packed to the bone. not social in the ways that i don't live anyway, but not the life that i live either.. not the life when and where i have all the time in the world.. but just choose not to use it. so many talents gone to waste, what is the matter with me? i can make videos.. play music, make games! freaking draw.. write.. animate.. create characters from the top of my head.. stories.. sing. dance. geez. why.. what have i been doing.. i've been living a miserable life. just full of complaints and looking back at NOTHING. WHY DO I HAVE ALL THIS SHIT! encapsulated memories are my curse.

how much time did i waste watching old videos in the early holidays.. complainig about my camera/s mid holidays, and then since the concert.. sitting around feeling sorry for myself andr eading old chatlogs trynig to find answers to questions that i have no idea why i asked myself. why haven't i been doing other things.. things that i like and love doing.. WHAT THE FUCK DO I EVEN DO THESE DAYS!? sit here and monitor my facebook? refresh my youtube page to see that my videos have gone up by like5 views? what do i do? wait for conversations that don't come but i don't really care about anyway? what is the matter with me..

why don't i have dedication.

i was complaing earlier to amy that i won't make it anywhere coz i'm not amazing. amazing people get somewhere. there are performers who are better than me at hahs, who are younger than i was when i was performing.. they can and will become amazing. i read a comment about jokwon's journey, training for 8 years, getting rejected for 2pm and almost not making it to 2am had it not been for dedication.. all i could do was sit there nad feel sorry for myself for not being amazing. i'm enraged now.. not depressed.. enraged at what? myself? for wasting time.. fuck.. i should've been doing things that i wanted to be doing. not even blogging.. i have blogs that i shouldacouldawoulda wrote.. but now i'm behind on so many schedules. faaaaaack.. i need kris-kringle present/s too.

i always use my youth as justification for my life being possibly better than soshi's and other performers.. they sacrified their youth to be where they are now. especially the SM trainees. spend their young teen years training, and get locked in contract for late teen years and all of their 20s years essentially. such is life.. i wouldn't want that would i? i wouldn't even be able to get that coz i don't even live there.. but.. taeyeon. *sigh*

it's so dumb.. she's so amazing.. but even as a sone i don't know her that well.. not like other crazy fans would know their biases.. i'm the worst fan of anything in the history of the world. i don't even watch soshi shows, so i was surprised i watched the whole of that episode tonight. i just can't devote myself to shows, even if its soshi.. man what the crap. why am i making such a fuss about being a sone? is it because that's all i have and am now? is it because i finally feel like i have an identity now? as a sone? maybe im thinking of these ideas coz i already know it inside. i'm nothing and noone right now.. i don't even have friends. not relaly anyway! people will argue and ask "aren't i your friend?" come on. i don't ACTUALLY have friends. i don't make the time and effort to be with people. MAYBE I AM MEANT TO BE AN IDOL. it doesn't look like i give enough of a shit about my social life anyway.. yet i just sit here and be lonely, and watch notifications come on fb just to realize they're additional comments on things i commented on before plus some sims requests.

perhaps amazing and dedication are proportional to each other. and dedication.. i do not have.. ironically.. and saying that doens't change my mind about anything. maybe i need motivation.. maybe i need people around me. sad as it sounds that i have to rely on others. typical phil.

encouragement.. an audience, someone to smile after i show them a new song, drawing or performance. a chris at my back to give me a push and tell me i'm doing well, a hall of cheering students and fellow subscribers adoring my choreography, and amanda.. my apparent "azuki" who i won't hold back saying that anymore.. because it's true. she was a major part of my motivation and inspiration last year, just because she was so encouraging.. and really.. i wanted to show her i can.. i wanted her to love what i did.. and to love me. i'm not going to lie.

but all that's gone to hell anyway.. i've even forgotten it was her birthday.. and instead claim myself to be infatuated with this celebrity who i barely even know anything ABOUT let alone know her personally. i have no shame now, just talking about this celebrity crush crap. why do i really care about taeyeon? faack you i don't know.. it's just that she's so amazing in so many ways. and killer cute haha.

just listening to this song.. besides lulling me to almost fall asleep, i suddenly got inspiration to blog. that must be powerful music then.

listening to this beautiful track, all of a sudden.. i remembered last christmas, the mass in particular, on christmas eve. i think it may have just been me and my siblings, but i remember falling asleep then too.. with my sunglasses on haha (it was an outdoor mass) coz i so drained from our christmas party the day before, and not sleeping much at all haha.

christmas.. fond memories.

all of a sudden, lingering anxieties and insecurities about where i want to be and where i should be, and where i used want to be and should've been.. all those things.. suddenly don't matter anymore.

just as the title suggests, today i touched nothing soshi-related, as much kpop as i went through today .__.

i love this song, i watched it when it first came out (few days before the concert) and i thoguht it was awesome.. but i didn't get around to downloading it 'til today, after watching the mv again. i also watched a bunch of other trax mvs o_O "oh my goddess" (starting maknae.. harharhar), "paradox" from the good old triangle days (that song aint bad either.. though its so different to modern trax) and "let you go" which came out semi-recently but i didn't know about it.

somewhere today i was on masa's page again, and i watched a bunch of remixes. not the normal hot kpop ones though (oh wait i think i watched 2010 pt2) but other than that.. i watched/listened to his remix of rain's song and smooth criminal again, and his lolliphone remix (bigbang vs lady gaga) and even his featured video, 2ne1's "i am the best" mixed with that song that goes "EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!" OH NOW I REMEMBER!!! i did do something soshi-related today, this title is now false. masa made an amv using clips from hercules and the song "girlfriend" from the genie mini album. that song sounds better when its louder.. (all songs from that album are quiet on my ipod). but yeah the remix i linked here.. awesome stuff. it's so hilarious coz it works. i gotta check out taht "shy boy" song, it sounds alright even as it is XD

after staring at this for like an hour, some parts even in slow motion.. and thinking "i don't want to do this x_x" i learned the chorus of the routine XD i danced for about an hour and a half, coz i was polishing as i went and practicing full force XD comparing myself to exact details of 80% slowed version of the routine.

i was supposed to vacuum upstairs before my dad got home.. he'll be here within the next half an hour. derp.. i'll just blog quickly then.

took another adventure into the chatlogs, this time i hit early 2010, the oh! days.. in search for what resparked the sone spirit in me with their new comeback, and what started the streak of solid sone-ism. (i guess gee fever died down eventually.. i was even around for genie perfs and chocolate love's release). but somehow things turned upside down in early yr12.

in the end, i read like a bunch of chatlogs, mostly from feb 2, the day i left before prefect camp.. and there were some recurring themes.. i really like "abracadabra" at this stage.. apparently only properly watching gd and taeyang's videos from 2009 now, including "wedding dress", "where u at".. and "breathe" in particular.. oh god i didnt shut up about that one girl in that mv... just ranted about her to everyone. a passing reference i read in the last chatlog.. a convo with john.. apparently this is when i was "introduced to fx" at least properly.. i guess i have dj masa to thank for the intro, this was when i really dug up and watched lachata properly i guess.

it seems i even watched ss501 stuff that day, in which for some reason lyn looked them up and hated them LAWL. calling them ugly, saying they suck at dancing and the song is repetitive (ur man btw) all this makes sense btw.. i remember stockpiling songs and videos for prefect camp. i even remember shoving that lq bad audio version of "oh!" onto my ipod for camp haha. in love with blue and yellow dressed cheerleaders haha.

yes.. that was the other central theme. soshi's new release at the time, i actually remember being told by chris during bio about it, he didnt really like it though.. i forget why he brought it up though.. maybe coz i was into soshi, or maybe because it was "oh!" but it wasnt "O". mad. but yeah.. this was in the days before subscribing to official channels, i didnt know jack about when things were released..

a lot of people are embarrassed about how they used to act or type or talk or whatever.. i don'tusually am.. but in this case.. i really am x_x i can't believe how shallow i used to be with them.. omg.. so sorry soshi >< well at least it made me realize how much i love them now.. and properly too. and i guess it was just a gradual buildup thing =)

even steven didn't know their names at this stage.. still referring to jessica as "no22".. wow man consistent taste much? that guy.. haha.i learned the rest of the names that i had forgotten since the gee days a week or two later.. after watching a music core perf with named mics. i remember that. things are just.. different haha. weird as it is.. it seems kpop only really started for me last year. at least.. kpop as a whole.

and as for soshi.. the "oh!" days were just another bump in our history together haha (as we have learned in the past week or so since the concert) through my thorough research.. i guess my taste just wasn't in sync with them half the time.. but now after all this time.. my taste has been shifted so now they are the standard LAWL.

oh but man.. me and my ramblings about women in those days.. god how annoying hahahaha. nowadays i don't ramble about women at all. (by women i mean actual girls in my life). and i don't have extensive chatlogs of idle banter with like multiple people everyday. nowadays i talk to like a single person extensively a day.. and not about minute happenings with girls hahaha. all i have now is this blog. me talking to myself? no idea.. but it's always fun to read in the future.

but it did remind me of the old WG days.. and i went back and watched their special stages with soshi (even a new one i don't think i've seen before.. or have i..) and i watched their special stage with big bang from nye 2008 (i can't believe i was kpop-alive for that)

this perf.. i don't believe i've seen until now. or if i've seen it before, i've forgotten about it. HOTNESSS! i like the outfits. i remember one of the early gee perfs i watched was in these costumes (yes.. gee fever hit me late). the genie days was prime time for our favourites (by our i mean me and steven haha) but hey.. they're all always hot all the time anyway.. but yeah.. maknae pwns in these perfs.. just sayin. but taeyeon is rockin' it in this one in particular. woo fanboy mode.

3:55.. mad. anyway.. once upon a time.. i was all wonderful. it was DBSK first, suju was the second group i found out about. err.. boa and the trax i dont think really count haha. but it was big bang after that, introduced to them in time to witness with u and haru haru's release.. and through big bang, found the wonder girls because of the joint stages. those joint stages increased my appreciation for both groups.. and i was set in stone as a wonderful even through yr11.. until gee fever would inevitably hit me.

since we're talking about school, this is a fitting video. joong actually reminds me of john in this particular video.. it's very john to shake hands randomly, follow with a hug and start talking gay. go figure.

anyway.. some time last week, while kissing you was still embedded in my blood from the concert, i dug through my archives to try find when i was born into the soshi world.. coz i know.. i always knew they existed.. but when did i find them? what was my first song? when exactly did i start liking them? no answers found..

there were only 4 chatlogs from yr10 that used the phrase "snsd" in them. hard to believe i know haha. the earliest, was when my friend juju in the US explained to me what SMent was, about halfway through the year. (i'm pretty sure steven previously explained.. i just didnt really listen hahaha). i get the feeling this is how it started.. i vaguely remember hitting wikipedia, coz she used the examples "dbsk, super junior and snsd". i guess the name snsd would appeal.. it's another random 4 letters strung together like dbsk hahaha. and i think that's when i found them. i remember seeing that ITNW picture on wikipedia, and deciding whether or not i found them attractive LAWL

the next instance was when i was fresh even with wg, my friend kishi in the phils was talking about how snsd make even girlier videos than wg (after i said that tell me was weird coz it was girly or something). FUN FACT: "tell me" was one of the earliest songs a2n was requested to dance to. yay -.- hahaha. i think i only started to really like it via big bang.

yeah just showing how "cool" these guys are, if you can call it that hahaha. comlpete and utter gayness.. but we're no better if you think about it haha. and that might be what makes it even more hilarious.. coz we'd probably do the same if we were in their shoes.. except probably to steven, who'd be trying to be normal like changmin in this video haha.

anyway there were only 2 other instances of "snsd" from yr10. one from august, when i told john to "look up snsd". this is annoying.. i obviously had a motive, and it'd probably be a good one, why else would i get john to look them up haha. i think i would've gone on to explaining why had john not suddenly decide to confess his love for a certain girl in this convo instead. thanks john for wiping my history hahaha.

the last was with steven.. talking about dbsk going out with girls, and i said something like "maybe they have, even if it's snsd ><" reading it.. it seems bad o_O but thinking about it now.. i might've been referring to haptic. coz haptic was well and truly out by then.

OMG I REMEMBER SOMETHING! the hahaha song. i remember now.. i remember dbsk and snsd releasing a version each, and i checked out the soshi version and didnt like it as much. so that was the first soshi release i was around for o_O i know for sure that girls' generation and kissing you were my first songs.. but which was first exactly? unsure.. but i get the feeling it was kissing you. and when that happened? i don't know.. must've been in june or july.. and by august, i had it in me enough to get john to search them up.

another dbsk passing reference. they remind me of us even MORE in this video.. you can even substitute our various roles into this video, and it could work. especially yunho's troll face/laugh.. that could easily be robert. it's funny how we're somewhat in sync with the group we modelled ourself after.

mind you when i got introduced to them from robert, i didn't know they were the biggest thing in asia hahaha. i thought they were nameless dancers on this variety show for one ep. but it turns out they sang as well, and in jaejoong's case.. did weird dances in front of girls to somehow win them over (check out the xman episodes). and as a result, O jung ban hup was my first kpop song and mv.. and man did it shape me, (AND RAISE MY EXPECTATIONS WAY TOO HIGH FOR EVERYONE ELSE) they might be half the reason i was hard on soshi haha, especially coming from the same company. dbsk had all the exp already, and awesome mvs etc.

dbsk had lots to love at that point i guess, and i just sunk right in. soshi were still new, and have only recently reached the equivalent of O, their third album "the boys". in a year after its release, the soshi equivalent for a2n will then debut and look back on like 4 or 5 years worth of soshi. wow. haha. but O was relatively new when we got into it, about a year old. it's the same as people getting into lucifer halfway through this year.. if anybody did. or if people fell in love with b2st for shock and/or soom.

man i talk a lot.. hahaha. anyway.. sometimes i feel like beating myself up for not getting into soshi sooner.. i could've been a loyal sone from the very beginning, the same way i got into fx soon after their debut.. i could've endured "the dark ages" with them. but why didn't i like them back then? their music i like much better than wg these days, i obviously find them attractive now.. their dressstyle upon debut was even in sync with my drawing style.. maybe i shoulda looked up into the new world back then, i guess i didn't know about it =/ that might've hooked me in really.

it annoys me that i can't remember the origins of my soshi life as i do with dbsk. but i know that haptic was a big booster for their rep with me. that video up there ^ i loved back then because of how goofy it was.. but i love it even more now, because i love both the dudes and girls now.. not just the dudes (as gay as it sounds). those guys were like THIS close to kissing our girls man, and i'm cool with it haha. i don't think i'd be as cool with it as if it were any other group. and i do think yoochun and yoona make quite the funny and cool pair. (ps. the whole yoosu thing.. i dont support the gayness that others hope to believe exist.. but those two are funny when they're mucking around, it's no wonder they're the 2 most popular guys in asia). and jaejoong comes in third.. no wonder as well, he mucks around so much, even just watching these videos here. after that, it's yunho, TAEYEONNN and changmin. it doesn't surprise me taeyeon is up there, she's such a loveable character.. but it actually bums me that the world loves her as much as i do, means i have to share hahaha.

either way, i've been molded into the SONE that i am now. and i was going to blog about how.. i may go off and enjoy other groups (i mean i support suju, shinee and fx by default because i love smtown.. but to a lesser extent to dbsk and snsd). i go off and spaz about groups like rainbow and t-ara.. i have my big bang sessions, and my kara moods.. but i always come back to soshi, one way or another.. somehow someway. and i'm more SONE than i am anything else. on the day of the concert i even decided i was more SONE than cassiopeia (until tvxq set the stage on fire and i just.. celebrated cassipeianism).

i may not know how it started.. and sometimes i feel dumb for only really taking notice post-gee (late-gee too), and sometimes i even feel dumb for cycling favourites so much. i probably would've fallen in love with taeyeon a lot earlier if i looked up more soshi stuff back in the day.. even just watching their "girls generation" mv.. she's gorrrjjjzzz there.

i'll leave you now with my favourite 14 people in the world. it may be dumb that my favourite groups are the top groups anyway.. but i guess.. they're up there for good reason. i don't care anyway.. i'm not the most avid and hardcore cassie or sone in the world.. but i love them just the same. *next morning edit* i mean.. i've made an effort to watch t-ara's first 4 comeback stages with "cry cry" on the days they come out.. i didn't even do that with "the boys". but i guess.. it's diffrent.. it's a different feeling still.. from the 2 groups i've really become attached to.

dbsk are split now, both groups seem more "professional" there's not as much mucking around like i've posted on here.. but the videos of their younger days will forever remind me of ours. the days when they were our model for success.. our goal.. our idols.

as for soshi.. they're still here.. they're still alive and well, and my love rightfully flows to and through them. i just hope i'll get another chance to properly meet them. we can just continue to look forward to what else is in store.. and look back on the old days.. the days when i was already fond of dbsk.. and the days when these girls started to nab their inevitable place in my heart:

what is "waste of time"

for one thing.. this blog might be a waste of time.. it's freaking 2:31am.. why am i starting this post now? haha.

i guess i have a bad habit of not blogging things that i want to once it passes.. i mean.. i still remember during the midsem break i wanted to blog that "the amount of time that's past since the semester started is as long as the mid-year holidays was".. same with at the end of sem.. that same amount of time agian. and now look.. its been like.. a month or something since the semester ended. can you believe that? if this were school holidays it'd be over, and if this were summer holidays it'd be halfway through. but really things are just getting started.

but this week.. just flew by.. full of useless unused time. the highlights of this unproductive week.. my vaccination on monday? if it counts.. steven coming over on tuesday (i believe i began learning kissing you on guitar on this day).. watching disc 1 of soshi's solo tour on wednesday, learning t-ara's "cry cry" routine as soon as i saw it on thursday (even that took forever.. so lacking energy these days) and today i planned my timetable. only planned.. but i guess ir ead into them somewhat.

i dunno what happened. at the start of this week, i was so full of soshi energy.. i was ready to shoot and make my "kissing you" cover asap, and i had to.. i wanted to have freakign 20 different animated taeyeons in there. i'm behind.. i haven't shot or recorded or drawn anything.. and i have so many more plans too..

after the concert hype died down (regretably) reality hit me in the face again.. the weird reality that is my life, that i wanted to devote myself to make videos within the next weeks before i leave to compensate for my absence later (bakuman-ing it). 5 videos btw.. kissing you included, 1 or 2 carols.. and 2 others. i guess it's not that hard thinking about it that way, but kissing you will be so hard and time consuming..

there was also the random burst of motivation yesterday to do "cry cry" that hype's gone now but.. and to do "paradise" as well as i agreed with steven. have to learn that too.. then what about the video i told garner i'd make for thanxmas.. what about the a2n montage MV i wnated to make (i guess that's gone to hell), and i don't even know about my end of year vlogs. excuse me i must send the thanxmas guests a message..

wmp: haru haru (day by day) - big bang

time wasted huh.. it certainly feels like this week has been wasted. and who's tos ay i'm not gonna waste the next 2 weeks and not upload anyhting? -.- or upload just kissing you at max. mad.. i know i'm a big time waster.. and yet i do nothing about it. still gotta go back to the music shop (or want to at least) and gonna dance with the boiz apparently. where's all my time gonna come from? videos gon get screwed.

i haven't even been thinking about our holiday.. well i have, but not looking forward to it (not that i'm dreading it) is this making any sense? like i'm anticipating it, but the excitement's not there.. right now i'm more worried about the things i have to/want to do before then.

oh wow.. i just mentioned "excitement" and thinking about travel = airport = last week.. a week ago.. a week since the concert.. i can't believe how fast time flies when you're doing nothing. yet those 2 or 3 days were so dense (i say 3 coz it kinda rolled over onto sunday). but that feeling.. of seeing them at first glance at the airport.. taeyeon.. i know now that she is my absolute bias. yknow i've always been one to think celebrity crushes were weird and illegit, but over the past week i've actually been considering actual ways to somehow marry that girl.. it'd be via directing and soundtracking.. go figure.

but i dunno.. i just feel like i can be honest about all this now. that concert.. was like one of the most honest experiences i've had. pure joy and excitement.. and real actual screaming at people we adore.. steven too.. wow watching/listening to that footage.. never experienced that guy being more excited before. but i know that was him being legit too. there was something about that concert. there's something about kpop in general i reckon.. a different connection between the performers and their fans, that separates them from other performers. i mean there's the fangroups and stuff after all.

these songs all have similar feel to them. go figure. if you listen to all these songs, you'll start to realize what kind of music i'm into.

but in this one week.. what's the bet that the idols we saw performing on stage, have done.. heaps.. shitloads. consider all the things we did on the weekend.. airport.. exploring.. hunting.. eating? not even densely packed, a lot of stalling and travel time. a lot can be done in a day.. they're probably so busy, and i'm complaining that i'm too cbf to do shit all these days. i SAY i'm busy. i have a lot of things i SHOULD be doing. hell i was commissioned to edit this video months ago i'm just weehh.. and i STILL havent started it. for god's sake i'm even too lazy to write on my own blog. what the hell do i even do besides watch the time pass? and for some reason nap everyday. not even legitimately tired from doing anything, while those idols are hard at working.. slaving to entertain everyone.

and to think.. this week.. i've been contemplating about that job.. and it's come again now that i've learned that SM auditions can be applied online.. what if i make it? i mean if i don't.. no big deal, back to boring life (if the path to making movies is considered boring haha) but if i do.. that's a different story. it throws everything off course. and it doesn't necessarily mean i'd make it. but would i quit if i got accepted? i dunno.. i guess i'll cross that bridge when i come to it. but unlike my last 3 auditions.. this time i have time to prepare, and i really get the feeling i'll do a lot of singing, dancing, music playing and general practicing when i'm on holiday. i dunno why.. it feels like this is gonna be some spiritual journey, in which i'll come back a better person (and if i don't, then well damn). i'll at least come back a more fashionable person hopefully.. ready for autumn in the latest euro fashion LAWL. i just wanna look cool haha.

but still..

i've been in this mental tug-o-war all week. i'm not sure when and how the post-concert blues faded, but at some point i even wanted to make a blog about how the feeling faded. coz honestly.. it was just this.. massive surge of emotions. and i get so frustrated because i can't encapsulate those feelings into words on this blog.. no matter how many times i try. thinking about it now.. i used to encapsulate emotion in drawings.. and get angry when people misunderstand because they don't carry the same feeling id id when i drew it. it frustrated me that my drawings were so cartoony when they felt serious for me.

i drew when i was depressed.. i drew when i was overjoyed.. i drew when i was enraged.. and of course i drew when i was infatuated..

why the hell don'ti draw anymore?

i don't do anything anymore.. i haven't been doing shit all lately. i haven't even played ratchet & clank since god knows when. my memory from before the concert is bleh. actually wait.. i clearly remember last tuesday coz i wanted to blog about it.. then wednesday was spent shooting "always" with garner coming over on thursday and killing all my time.. then friday, saturday and sunday speak for themself haha.

i think i'd have to get into detail about those days somehow though. maybe tomorrow.. for now it's a reflection.

yknow seeing t-ara live would be pretty cool too. but they're probably not big enough. it's actually quite cool that i'm into 2 lesser underdog girl groups. yet meanwhile i'm still in love with the group that's essentially the equivalent of bleach in the anime world.

3:15.. almost an hour blogging.

what i wanted to talk about, was whether or not i was really worthy for the job of the idol. this is where i was leading with my "muddled up inside" post. i was really lost and confused in the feelings the other day, but today it's more about the thoughts. i don't think i'm the right person for the job.. but of course thinking that way, of course i'm not. it's the whole niizuma eiji thing.. he loves manga tha tmuch, that's why he made it in that world, and is acing it. i'm sure the performers who are on stage right now, loved singing and dancing much more than everyone else. i don't even love singing that much.. i mean it's fun, but i don't think i LOVE it.. i mean i don't compose my own songs or anything.. i don't even sing while i play instruments.. i don't know.. i feel really unworthy. and i'm nowhere near as good a dancer as i used to be nowadays.

when i think of myself.. i don't imagine a microphone and headset in a studio, i might consider the sports shoes and large mirror.. but i don't even see myself as the guy holding the pencil and inking pen.. i see myself as the guy with the camera.. and one day with one of those clicky black&white thingies..

but last year i said that i wanted to do live my performer life first, because that can only be done while you're young.. sigh.. i guess i'm feeling the despair because i don't feel young enough anymore.. the performers on stage now are my age -.- or even younger.. freaking sulli, krystal and suzy. people like them. even taemin is younger than me i think.

i dunno..

it feels right that if someone devotes their life to one ideal or aspect, of course they'll get there.. it's like how i wasn't surprised to get good marks for my research in sem1 coz i did legit power research. but it doesn't seem right to force myself down the path of a hardcore singer or dancer.. right now i'm just happy singing and dancing things that i like.. would i really like being ordered around? i don't even like dancing things that i didn't pick out myself now, why would i later? and yet i say that i want to be on stage.. wtf man.. i know what's involved.. i want it.. but i know it's going to take shitloads of work to get there..

it's coz i had my life pretty much planned out, i swear. was going to just finish my degree.. go film school and hit hollywood asap. but now i dunno..

i get so annoyed when i don't know what i want. and that's what my "muddled up inside" blog was SUPPOSED to be about. i got so angry with myself on sunday/monday.. because i didn't know what i really wanted. because in my view, passion is everything.. passion will lead to great things, but what if something is lacking passion.. it just won't work out.. and yet you'd want the end result?

those kids were probably dreaming about this since they were like 5. i was into freaking dinosaurs when i was in primary school man.. into drawing, though i never considering being a mangaka. i played music but i never considered being a musician. i started making games in high school but then i did consider working for nintendo. freaking.. argh.. i never even wanted to be a dancer. not a real dancer.. not a commissioned dancer.. i much preferred the life of a performer. i hate being told what to do yet the life of the idol is okay? what the hell isw rong with me.

i'd hate to think that the target of hollywood director is a dumb choice of mine.. that wasn't even mine. but of course it is. i don't know. thinking about it, what else would i rather be doing? nothing. i love my created stories, my stories get decent feedback, the always have. and i hate following other peoples ideas, i like getting people to make mine happen.. and apparently i'm a man who can do that.

i guess i was just right for it.. i had a natural knack for making movies, i always have.. i've been making stop motion videos since i was in yr5 fgs. i made videos for fun in high school.. i still do.. for youtube now. man.. i don't know. i love entertaining people. i have a knack for entertaining people.

it's embedded in me.. dancing to entertain since iw as like 6.. people loved my drawings, they laughed at my comics, they were amazed at my stories, they played my games over and over, they applauded my dancing, they gape in awe at musicianship.. people even like to hear my sing.

it's just in me.. to entertain.. and apparently the best way to do that is in hollywood.. the capital of the world for entertainment. friends of mine, they settle for being film directors in general wherever they are.. but somehow, that's not good enough for me. i have to and want to go to freaking hollywood. is that good or bad? surprisingly i've never received any negative feedback.. the most negative feedback i've ever gotten was "geez you've certainly set your goals high" from mr jones.. and that's not even bad. but as if i wouldn't want to go there.. all the movies i loved came from there.. i don't want to work with indie beautiful movies for film fests.. i want to wow people with awesome, to really bring a story to life.. a story that's out of this world.

and i've come up with ways to bring my own stories to life too.

then why.. why am i killing myself about this performance thing.. i obviously don't perform now, but when i did i loved it.. i know that..

is it bad to have 2 dreams?

my hollywood thing is more like a goal.. coz i know.. i somehow KNOW that i will get there no matter what.

but isn't that the kind of mindset i need to become a performer?

the thing is.. i'm not that solid on becoming a performer anyway.. and with that attitude.. of course i won't make it. "not with that attitude", that's what me and john used to say in early yr11.. when we had high hopes for the future. and we're both well on our way now.. but yeah..

is there always a dream that people have that they will never get? be a rockstar or some shit..

people have normal dreams.. people just want to be rich, or successful.. or comfortable.. or just plain happy..

why is it for me.. why do i have to go to freaking hollywood.. or be a star on stage. i dont even CARE about being the biggest thing to hit the stage, i just love performing and i'd want to do it on the same stage as the people who inspire me.

but for me.. it's not even like picking a career.. i can easily pick up some business course or some shit and live a normal life, but for some reason that's not what i want.

the things that i'm looking to in the future aren't careers.. (well they are).. but that's not why i want to be there.. i want to end up there because that's what i like doing. i care more about the opportunity to make awesome movies than the revenue that comes with it. i onyl care about revenue coz i want high budgets to make awesome movies.

but hey.. it's so easy to be normal.

i've been saying that in my head over and over this week... and it's not the first time i've said it. (like hell it's not). for some reason.. normal is the last thing i want to be.. somehow i don't want o just.. live life, get a job, find a girl, settle down.. if i'm lucky i'll get maried. look at me i'm old but i'm happy blah blah haha. it's just too easy.

these days people just hang with their friends while i'm making plans for youtube videos to release while i'm on holiday. why? i don't know.. coz it matters more to me than making new friends for some reason. i guess i'm content with the friends i already have =) i gotta say.. that's what i'm happy about with my life, i have the greatest most supportive family.. and i made the best friends in the world. i guess there's not hing left to worry about now but career.. where i wanna be.

but why would you choose to just be okay with your life, when you can live a life that noone ever knows? the life of a star.. or the life of a director? to be on set of these movies that people all love and enjoy. to make them..

funny.. it's acutally 3:40.. not 3:30 hahaha.

on sunday, when i arrived at macarthur station.. i considered how actors play the parts of businessmen and stuff... then im thinking.. what would they know? how can they play the part when they actually know shit all about working in an office haha. i dunno go figure.

but yeah.. they don't know every aspect of normal life like that.. but the people in the entertainment industry all live lives that we're unfamiliar with.

as if you wouldn't choose the life that only a fraction of the world get to live.

it's too bad that i just can't decide what kind of life i want to live.. i don't even know if those idols had one straight path they wanted to follow.. not even sure, coz even people like sunmi left halfway. it annoys me someitmes that i couldn't just have one straight dream and path.. but these people probably gnona be singers even after their contracts end.. i wouldnt want that.. i'd want to move on to my next dream.

my next dream.. woaaahhh.. that's what it's about.. living out all my dreams..

i'll be in charge of teh game adaptations of my games.. i can sing and dance at award ceremonies.. i'll be the hippest director out XD

maybe i should just become something else of my own.. something that noone else can be.

hmmmmm.. that's my real talent i reckon.. variety. not specific. my singing or dancing alone might not be enough to carry me into the idol world.. but i knew it was because i could do all that stuff that i believed in myself enough to possibly make it.

we'll see eh?

in the meantime.. that's what PhilAfterSchool is all about.. variety ;D showcase the talents that i know i have.

and so it turns out not everyone shares the same passion/interests as me.. i guess that makes me abnormal. haha. but special in that sense.. and i'm happy being different, i don't have to be like normal people and hang out with their friends constantly.. coz i'm happy doing what i do.

drawing.. writing.. making games.. making movies.. playing music.. dancing.. even singing and rapping. it's all good in the hood XD

anyone can live a normal life.. as if you wouldn't choose the unique experience that not everyone can live.

it's so easy to be normal.

^ the most awesome routine i have seen in a long time, i love it, and i love the song. and the mv (as long as it is) is really well made. i've already begun learning the routine to this song, that's how much i love it and the dance. although it doesn't say much in comparison to my love when soshi came back.. and all this week i've been crying about the concert being over.. it just makes me feel dumb that i could settle back in so quickly and easily. i'll probably post about it later.

and of course, t-ara's 15 minute long mv, jiyeon's actually a really good actor, hats off to her. she's not my favourite, but she freaking aced it. yeah, i was surprised that t-ara came back so soon after roly poly.. but when i saw the 15min long mv on the front youtube page the other day, i knew it was gonna be good (i didn't watch it coz it was late at night and had big day/s ahead). but now that i have, awesome.

the melody reminds of another song.. but i can't put my finger on what song.

these two girl groups have garnered a lot of attention from me this year, moreso in recent months than earlier in the year i would say (or at least just coz i remember watching them over and over recently). i've probably even watched them more than f(x) and kara this year, which says something. but both groups are doing well now i'd say, so kudos to them. their current styles are THE freaking BOMB

it randomly came into my head.. and i'm loading another perf, of "wasurenaide", but it's taking a while.. and for some reason.. before i started loading that perf, i was just singing it.. and i could feel tears welling up in my eyes..

go and laugh coz i'm sissy.

but lately.. i don't know.. i feel very.. emotional.

the other day (wednesday i think) i wanted to post the "stand by u" mv, one of the last mvs they made before they split.. and i felt like crying watching that too. their ballads are beautiful.. and their voices are.. holy crap, it would take me 20 years of dedication to reach that level.

and that's the thing..

hang on.. it seems the perf finished loading, it suddenly picked up speed, unless ita ppears fully loaded but it's a dud.. but my upload finshed so it'dm ake sense for it to be done now.

yeah sorry, got distracted by more perfs, which i will post here.

anyway.. ever since the concert.. my feelings.. have been all up in knots.

last night, i started dancing to lucifer for no particular reason, and i was just dancing in front of the mirror (as you would), full power coz it feels awesome.. and then i find myself lipsyncing.. and even "performing" essentially.. to a non-existent audience.

this dbsk music is really distracting.. it really makes me -feel- but i dunno what.. just feel.

but lucifer.. after that, i began singing whatever song came onto my ipod.. and an old familiar thought swept through my mind.

i love performing. i know i can perform. i want to become a performer.

i never considered myself an ace at dancing.. though i always strived for what i could with quest crew lighting my path.

i never considered myself an awesome singer.. no way in hell.. i'm a cassie, i know exactly what "awesome singer" means.. if you do not.. please refer to this:

i feel so stupid.. i don't know what i want.

i thought i gave up the dream ages ago.. even though i'd hate to look at myself like that. and i would hate even more if what i'm feeling now is just a "phase".. i hate to think of myself a phased person.. everything i love and have ever loved all makes up part of me.. i don't deny any part of who i am.. not like other people.,

and in my mind.. i always ask myself the same questions.. is this what you really want? do you love the stage? the rehearsal studio? the recording studio? who am i kidding.. i've never even been in a recording studio let alone used it x_x

do you love music that much? would you let music consume your life? your career.. your goals.. musical awards etc.. i never considered myself a musician.. not like other people would.. not like actual crazy awesome musicians.. i don't even know what i am..

is this all for taeyeon? for soshi? for big bang? for dbsk? what is it? i know deep down that by the time i've become trained and debut (if i can make it) the artists i know and love now, may well be gone. even new artists like b1a4 or whatever crap.. i dont know any of the new artists, even they would be my seniors.

am i getting too old? i worried so much last year about age.. the maximum age for the global yg auditions was 19.. and here i am at 19. the girls i watch and listen to now (not limited to soshi), they're all just a bit older than me, a whole bunch younger than me.. etc. and there's training involved too.

i don't really love korea that much do i? acutally no not at all.. i sound and feel like a terrible person.. what is it that i love then.. why else would i want to become a performer like these people? i know for me it's not about the fame or the money.. but..

hmm..

i don't know.. they really bring.. life.. to things, to me. i feel that sometimes i can bring life to things too, performances etc.. i always wanted to be able to make people feel emotions, just by simply singing, just like jaejoong and the other 4 members.. i've known for a while that my dancing (though not much of it these days) was better suited for the stage.. since i was about choreography.. and large movements... for the stage.

sorry.. it's been over an hour since i wrote the above line.. i was busy fighting over a zappo, and slowing down my missax4minute special stage clip, coz i realized suzy was smiling and waving at me XD *fanboy scream* am now listening to 2am.

i'll get back into this blog soon.. i'm too hungry to think right now haha. only really ate one meal today.. like 6 hours ago, maybe more. for now.. please enjoy this perf:

i may continue it tomorrow though, new post probably. in the meantime i'm still in love with taeyeon, and wish she could've been "in our face" as much as jess was. watching fancams make me sad coz i didn't get to see her much =( saw maknae even less.
